A collaborative one-off project between the rapper ANTWON (ANTONIO WILLIAMS) and KERRY MCCOY of the metal band DEAFHEAVEN. Mood, visceral and very limited. "Kerry and i met at the last Caltrain stop in San Francisco summer of 2012. I took the train from my mom's house all high with no water. I was meeting up with my friend Juan. Him and Kerry worked together and i think they had just gotten off work. Juan and I been friends for awhile ppl said he looked like the Mexican version of me so naturally we became great friends. I spotted 'em thru the rush of crazy people getting off the train. We linked up and got on the bus towards the Mission district. I knew Lerry was from Modesto so me being a nosey lil guy I asked him if he knew certain people from there (Henry, Ethan, and Sean from a band called Virulence) we had a couple mutual friends which was cool as fuck cuz we vibed right away. I think sometime later I had a job on the weekends in San Francisco in the Mission district i stayed at Kerry and George's spot on a broken ass futon this tight before Sunbather was gonna come out so I heard a lot of that record being practiced and it was a big deal to Kerry at that time. We was struggling unlike Kerry tho I didn't pay bills at that time I live very plush at my mom's sorta and San Francisco is not a cheap place to live. I believed in what he was doing and I reassured that this album was gonna turn heads good or bad. Around that time i was doing stuff for Converse and had asked Kerry to do a cover of 'In Dark Denim' because I thought that would be a great flip of the original. He agreed and when we went to record it he wore Vans and they made him switch out lol that was our first collab somewhat later on while working on double ecstasy I asked Kerry to come in and make something for the record. He did and this became 'Changes.' Kerry said he had the riff forever in his head my man Lars Stalfors helped us out overseeing and the rest was herstory"
