Lame Drivers

***The Flexi-Book is a book that you can play on your turntable, featuring 7 songs on five discs, plus 12 pages of original artwork by our favorite visual artists: Mayuko Fujino, Sarah Hotchkiss, Keenan Marshall Keller, Caroline Teagle & Umman Turkoglu. Two of the songs on the Flexi-Book ("Other Side" and "Frozen Egg") were recorded by our neighbor Matt Tong (Bloc Party's drummer) at his basement in Bed-Stuy." The Flexi-Book format is inspired by a National Geographic guide to bird sounds, and it sounds and looks fantastic. You've quite possibly heard the LAME DRIVERS' infectious din in one of countless fan-made videos, live on WFMU, or at a sweaty show during one of their cross-country tours. You may have seen main-man JASON SIGAL wielding the thudstick for HOME BLITZ or composing music for theatrical productions here in NYC. But the real excitement lies in this flexi-book, true believer, as Lame Drivers have worked their collective ass off creating it for you and believe me, it shows. We've seen much of the progress firsthand(hell, they rehearse in the SGG office, directly under where Mr. Mike sleeps!) and we're still as excited about this band as we always have been.”
