***The Stockholm-based artist HENRIK SODERSTROM has always had a distinct sound, with a rudimentary feel. The rugged, lo-fi tape sound if earlier releases is present, but Aristokrat has a more coherent and balanced structure, with tape loops remaining prominent though blended with analogue synths. The six tracks on Aristokrat move on slowly, without progressing into climaxes, accompanied with the sound of deteriorating electronics. Edition of 300.
