***MDOU MOCTAR’s love ballad "Anar" is a huge success throughout the Sahara with his trademark autotuned lyrics, rhythmic Tuareg guitar, and crashing drum machine. Collected from cellphone memory cards in 2009 and featured on the upcoming Music from Saharan Cellphones Volume 2, the track gets the cover treatment on the flip by Portland's art-pop trio BRAINSTORM with their phonetic reinterpretation. Limited pressing of 500 with old school printed fold over cover.
