LLOYD DELPRATT is a true veteran of the Jamaican recording business with tenures at Studio One cutting seminal sides with a young Bob Marley & The Wailers and Derrick Harriott, as well as performing with the popular Mighty Vikings. The maestro also became the first organist for Tommy McCook’s Supersonics, recording for Duke Reid’s Treasure Isle after The Skatalites disbanded in 1965. “Together” and “Warm Love” sees Delpratt bust out some early ‘70s instrumental Hammond grooves with US guitarist JAMES BURNEY (aka “Chip” of Frank Motley and the Bridge Crossings’ Chip Dip notoriety). So good. Please note that “Warm Love” is not available on the “Jamaica to Toronto” comp.
