***Split release from CONTROLLED BLEEDING and SPARKLE IN GREY. Six songs from Controlled Bleeding, four from Sparkle In Grey, plus two “extra perversions" of the two groups placed symmetrically at the end of the album. The well known eclecticism of Controlled Bleeding is on full display, ranging from pages of confident guitar based prog rock, to rough industrial-noise excursions, or to jazzy improvisations now soberly melodic and now tangled and dissonant, whereas Sparkle In Grey provide a poignant chamber lieder with neo-classical aplomb, gradually built from sparse notes of piano and a mournful violin around an emotional recurring theme, among mysterious choral breaths and subterranean cacophonies.
