Faster than any mutant superheros, French electronic musical mavericks DAT Politics return with a new mini-album full of electronic collage and noisy pop songs. These seven new tracks could be considered the perfect winter complement to Wow Twist, their Spring 2006 album for Chicks on Speed Records. Are Oui Phony keeps the speed level at the maximum, for the most part setting aside songwriters Gaetan and Claude's pop indulgence in favor of utter breakbeats madness. The album also features a special guest appearance from Tigerbeat6 recording artist Kevin Blechdom. The band heads East for an extended North American tour to celebrate the album's release in November.
