***GERALD BIGGS developed FILTHY GRIN as a living sound journal to document explorations in the sonification of sculpture and body movement. Currently located in Montreal, over the past decade he has self-released a series of cassettes, performed as a member of PIGEON RELIGION, collaborated with various artists (J.S. Aurelius, James Fella, etc.) as a sound engineer, in live performances, and through sound design. Saturn in the Mirror collects two long-appreciated pieces from many years ago: beautiful and textured material that sees colliding aspects of ambient music, drone, analog synthesis and musique concrète. LP design and concept by JS AURELIUS and collage by Gerald Biggs. RIYL: Yellow Swans, Emeralds. Download includes an excerpt / edit of "Saturn in the Mirror," which was featured on The Wire Tapper 47 (included with The Wire's August 2018 issue (#414). Released in an edition of 300, this is the first full-length vinyl appearance for Filthy Grin.
