***Three-plus years in the making, Log Almighty is by far Log's most confident
and realized work. This release sees songwriter / guitar player Paul Nini (ex-
Great Plains), brother Chris Nini (organ, piano), bassist Shirley Tobias,
drummer Greg Bonnell (of Moviola, early American Music Club, and Mark
Eitzel's previous band Naked Skinnies), and Keith Dimoff (guitar) moving
toward organic and sophisticated rock. The addition of various keyboards,
acoustic guitars, horns, strings, and special guests add new layers and textures
to Log's well-crafted songs, and opens up a new chapter in this longrunning
band's musical story.
