Los Crema Paraiso

***Named after a beloved ice cream parlor in Caracas, is a Venezuelan power trio that blends the rhythms and melodies of their homeland’s traditional music with a dynamic fusion of rock, funk, Latin grooves, jazz, and exotica. Comprising a trio of accomplished musicians—Neil Ochoa (Si Se, Chicha Libre), José Luis Pardo aka Cheo (Los Amigos Invisibles, DJ Afro), and Bam Rodriguez (Arturo O'Farrill)—the band creates a genre-defying sound that is both rooted in heritage and boldly progressive.

Drawing inspiration from Venezuela’s diverse musical traditions, Los Crema Paraiso reimagine folk classics, transforming them with electrifying guitar riffs, intricate percussion, and deep, groove-driven basslines. Their compositions seamlessly navigate from the earthy tones of joropo and merengue to the cosmic realms of psychedelia and experimental jazz, making their music equally at home in dance clubs, jazz venues, and rock festivals.

Los Crema Paraiso has captivated audiences across the globe, bringing their high-energy performances to major stages in the United States, including the Ruido Festival in Chicago, River to River Festival in New York, the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), and the Echale Festival in San Antonio. Beyond North America, they have performed in Venezuela and Colombia, sharing their vibrant take on Venezuelan music with local audiences. Their reach extends even further, as they embarked on an Australian tour in 2014, further solidifying their international presence.
