Los Guapos Sensibiles

***The third single by Oakland based LOS GUAPOS SENSIBILES continues with their preferred format of a Sonidero classic on the A side with a loose fitting electronic Son Jarocho composition on the flip. Los Guapos Sensibles deliver their version of "Bigotón," a song about a mustache, in a "Salsa Rebajada" or "slowed down salsa" style reminicent of how it was heard when played at a slower speed by Sonideros in the barrios surrounding Mexico City. In this arrangement, the horns are replaced by mellow, dubbed out synthesizers that contribute to the laid back vibe of the song while DAVID FLORES completely and absolutely unleashes his wrath in the extended timbale solo. "Decimas del Desamor" is an original composition that features Bay Area Son Jarocho veteran and past collaborator, HUGO ARROYO and local sensation FABIAN MARTINEZ, both on jarana tercera to round out the sound.
