Recorded live to tape at Sonic Ranch and issued via Dusty Mars Records, Wax Mage Records and Silver Girl Records, their sophomore LP Dove Tapes delves into themes of trauma, longing, breakup, and profound emotional resilience.

Their debut album, Poet Lies (2023), earned acclaim for its lush, reverb-heavy soundscapes and vinyl sell-outs via Wax Mage. On Dove Tapes, moondaddy expands their sonic palette—decadent synth textures, winding guitars, and wistful vocals—anchored by Cara’s cinematic songwriting. The record carries “a microcosm of love… despite what’s happening in the world.”
