***"Small songs for Kack Jirby” is a double LP consisting of 26 tracks recorded in 2012 using a small eurorack modular synth; and as such, these tracks were Roden’s first foray into the modular world. while many of the tracks evoke the kind of quiet, melodic, intimacy and melancholy of Roden’s previous works - but now armed with new tools and new tendencies. many of these tracks were used in Neil Greenberg’s dance piece “this”, which was performed in December 2014 at New York Live Arts.
