***Progress Down by PDX local rockers, TV HWY has been a record in the making since 2022, recording at drummer Seve's home studio and completing the process at Red Lantern Studios, a name synonymous from a wide swath of the Black Water Records catalog. This album drifts between in-your-face punk bangers, jaunty pogo-y sing-alongs to moodier and more contemplative and introspective compositions. The dual vocals are energetic, passionate, and catchy. The gated drum sound along with the added percussive hits give it an almost 80’s vibe with synth lines buried under the tracks. The bass lines drift along over the riffs, plodding along with flourishing fills punctuated at just the right places for added feeling. Overall, this record goes in the certified banger category and there is something for everyone on this release. Heavy influences from the likes of Magazine, Camera Silens, Sad Lovers and Giants, the Zero Boys and DEVO etc.
