Unlike most compilations of covers, all the musicians on this one knew the artist their covering up close and personal. Here, they worked up the courage to publicly perform his songs a month after his passing. It's all no bullshit performances. The musicians range in age from eleven to eighty years old. The songs are raw and emotional as they come.
