Late But Never is the haunting and intimate collaboration between German artist and singer Steffi Thiel and English composer Michael Cashmore. Cashmore is known for his extensive work with Current 93 and Nature and Organisation as well as for his solo projects which have included collaborations with—among others—Antony Hegarty (Antony and the Johnsons), Nick Cave, Marc Almond and Bill Fay. The album’s lyrics are written by Thiel and all of the music is composed, performed and mixed by Cashmore. All paintings used for the album’s artwork are by Thiel.

***Forged in the creative crucible of 1968's 'Summer of Love', Comus took a darker path than flower-draggled hippiedom, with a prophetic counter-culture vision of ferocious, glowering firepower. Their seminal album 'First Utterence' has continued to mesmerise and subvert since its release in 1971, despite the band violently imploding only two years later. It has influenced a generation of musicians, and was even midwife to the birth of death metal. In recent years the group's fanatical fan-base has spawned exponentially across the web, and in 2008, Comus devotee, Michael Akerfeld from Opeth, persuaded them - against all the odds - to reform for what turned out to be an electrifying, tumultuously received appearance at the Melloboat Festival in Sweden. No way content to simply feed off old material, Comus, since Melloboat, have once again lanced deep into their collective psyche and disgorged a tranche of new material. Comus' current live set seamlessly interleaves these new songs and the old into a coruscating soundtrack for the new darkening age. 'Out Of The Coma' is the much anticipated new album by Comus, their first in over thirty three years. It features three brand new songs, 'Out Of The Coma', 'The Sacrifice' & 'The Return', through which courses the unmistakable, Stygian DNA of First Utterance, plus the only know recording of the band playing their legendary 'Malgaard Suite', live at a college gig in 1972. The new songs all feature in the band's current live set, and have been enthusiastically received by audiences. 'The...

Singer/songwriter Bill Fay released two brilliant but poor-selling albums between 1967 and 1971 before disappearing from the public eye. He spent much of the following decade writing, rehearsing, and occasionally performing--all with no contract or record company support. In recent years, reissues of his now-sought-after original albums along with a pair of releases containing previously unreleased material have renewed interest in the English artist. Coptic Cat is pleased to announce the release of Fay's long-awaited next collection of old and new music.Still Some Light consists of 43 songs on two CD with a total playing time of over two hours. It comes in a full-color six-panel digipak with a 24-page booklet of extensive notes, archival photos, and handwritten lyrics to all the tracks. The cover was painted by the musician's brother John Fay.The first CD, titled Piano, Guitar, Bass & Drums, consists of studio recordings, sourced from archival tapes, with Ray Russell on guitar, Alan Rushton on drums and Daryl Runswick on bass. The 1970 tracks are prior to the recording of the Time of the Last Persecution album and contain alternative versions of songs on that album, two tracks from Fay's self-titled debut album, and previously unreleased songs. The 1971 material is also previously unreleased. The second CD, Still Some Light, is a home-recorded studio album from 2009.
