***GROOP—Los Angeles psych rock improv super group features members of Hooveriii (RAS) and ex members of Frankie & The Witch Fingers (RAS). Conceived at Station House recording studio in Echo Park California march 2021, during an improvised session, the band has made a name for themselves throughout the city of Los Angeles. Their debut self-titled LP features Louis Cohen (guitar), Gabriel Salomón (sax & synths), James Novick (modular & synths), Bert Hoover (bass) and Shaughnessy Starr (the drum) with a revolving crew of special guests. ***Emily Rose and the Rounders (formerly the Blue Rose Rounders) are a traditional country outfit from Los Angeles, California. After the dissolution of singer/songwriter Emily Rose Epstein’s old country band and on the tail end of her Saturn return and a near full on mental breakdown, she recruited a few old friends to play the songs she wrote to nurse her broken heart. Fans of sad songs, waltzes and a kicker or two, the Rounders serve country up in the tradition of George Jones, Patsy Cline and Waylon Jennings without looking too far into the past for inspiration. The Rounders songs touch on grief, regret, lost love, (all) female empowerment, nihilism, in hopes that even in the darkest of times we can dance and sing and find a way out.

"Pop aesthetics tend to overvalue the hooks and choruses of songs at the expense of context and narrative," ANDREW (singer/guitarist) explains. TRAPS PS is an attempt to deconstruct and reorganize the narrative, leaving in only what is absolutely necessary.The summation of the group's ethos, their sound, is structured around haunted vocals, brittle / percussive guitar, pulsating / instinctive bass, and persistent / taut drums. If you were to catch them live, either in some dark vaulted club or under a washed out LA overpass, both equally likely places to find them, you would be drawn in by the same thing, their energy, be it from the bass, kick, or toms, where the foundation of a song is often laid, or by the snare, guitar, and vocals piercing and slicing on top of things.
