***"Thee HEAVIEST band in Mexico return with a colossal sonic undertaking of Funeral Doom & Gloom! A massive 43-minute submersion on the subject of time and mortality, loss and despair…Cold, oppressive, dissonant, emptiness that forms while we gradually disappear. We cant stop the infinite cycle we are on but surely Glacial will slow it down…Feel the weight of time. Presented on a gorgeous heavyweight 3 color splatter vinyl, with a black dust sleeve, two sided insert, and in a nice protective poly bag! Produced by ALN from Mizmor / Hell with artwork by Ethan from Primitive Man. Recommended for fans of bands like Corrupted, Evoken & Esoteric."

Otherworldly mysterious UK dark ambient death metal entity Abyssal have completed work on their fourth opus A Beacon In The Husk. Standing as the band’s most colossal and ambitious offering yet, this latest stretches the Abyssal sound into even darker, more abstract, noiser, and progressive realms than anything within their previous repertoire. Four years following the acclaimed Antikatastaseis observation, an album that took a slightly more structured approach to their enveloping horror, and one that escalated the band into one of the most prominent death metal artists emerging from the UK, A Beacon In The Husk brings the audial terror to a whole new suffocating and insanely complex level, making it their most outré album to date.

Abyssal have always been a low-profile entity within the death metal scene. Even though their new album Antikatastaseis is their third, the band’s previous two were primarily self-released digitally (where they were available for free) and via CDR for anyone who requested a physical copy of their work. The band never partook in any live activities, interviews or any kind of promotion. When Profound Lore happened across their 2013 album Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius, the label offered to release this mesmerizing death metal recording officially in a limited run. The collaboration helped spread awareness of a band responsible for some of the most intriguing death metal coming out today—whose vicious brutality, technicality and dark, foreboding atmospherics draw comparisons to the likes of Portal, Impetuous Ritual, Ulcerate and Mitochondrion. With Antikatastaseis, Abyssal deliver the most intriguing, most brutal and darkest death metal release of the year, solidifying their place as one of the best bands coming out of the UK today alongside Grave Miasma and Cruciamentum. By taking their musical fortitude to yet more melodic and technical heights, Abyssal have raised a bar in the genre of death metal.
