Brand new instrumental Shockout EP featuring some of our favorite artists delivering refreshingly deep and edgy beat-heavy tracks skittering the lines between Dubstep, Kuduro, Soca, House, Jungle, and UK Funky. On the darker side of the EP are tracks from UK's BADXMAN and San Francisco's Ghosts On Tape, best known for his blindingly good debut EP on Wireblock which was included in XLR8R, Bleep, and Boomkat's best of 2009 lists. The good summer vibes come from Barcelona's brightest light of forward thinking dubstep, Cardopusher, and his friends from Caracas, the production duo of Pacheko & Pocz. The idea behind their two tracks on the EP was to build some Kuduro type beats and give them an old school Jungle feel, with the sub-bass presence and depth of dubstep. Expect big things from this new team, as when Pacheko is flying solo he has kept busy with releases on LoDubs, Mashit, Murder Channel, Civil Music, Seclusiasis, and Senseless, he's been remixed by Starkey (LoDubs / Planet Mu), Brackles (Applepips / Rinse FM), and his tracks regularly get rinsed by the likes of Cardopusher, Untold, Timeblind, 6Blocc, Bunzer0, and BD1982.
