Fight Cry Fight completes a loose trilogy of albums from Caudal, following on Forever In Another World (Oaken Palace Records) and Ascension (Consouling Sounds), all of which were recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Berlin and featuring cover artwork from Irish painter Eoin Llewellyn. Fight Cry Fight differs in its focus on shorter and more structured songs which forefronts the band's post-punk and indie-rock aesthetics while still retaining their atmospheric, shoegaze-y sound and motorik, krautock-ish rhythms. Caudal is a trio of Canadian guitarist Aidan Baker (also of Nadja, Hypnodrone Ensemble), Irish bassist Gareth Sweeney (formerly of Gout), and Colombian drummer Felipe Salazar (also of Muerte En Pereira, Hypnodrone Ensemble). The group formed in 2012 and is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
