***Digital Island Riddim is an EP inspired by 80s and 90s dancehall and digital reggae. In this production, Echo Selector (Juan Esteban Herrera aka Ruido Selecto) draws inspiration from the sound of Jamaican legends like King Jammy and Steely & Clevie, key figures in digital reggae and dancehall. To capture that island flavor, the project features Niconay on vocals—a talented singer from the Columbian north coast (Isla Fuerte). The release features two collaborative remixes and dubs by King Earthquake from the UK, a leading figure in global dub, bass and soundsystem culture. It also features contributions from Piper Street Sound, a talented dub reggae producer based in Atlanta, Georgia.
