***Sacramento party punks are back with their second album on Mt.St.Mtn. A slight departure from the wildly careening noise-punk of Crap Culture, G.GREEN’s Area Codes showcases a seasoned, confident touring band and ANDREW HENDERSON’s solid, soul-baring songwriting, all wrapped up in a cohesive LP that speeds effortlessly from song to song, always with reckless intent, but never so much to derail the party train. With producer CHRIS WOODHOUSE (Mayyors) at the helm, G.Green puts bad sex, drugs, heart-break, drunken frustration and fuck-you ambivalence to tape. G.Green will be touring in support of Area Codes in Summer and Fall of 2014. Packaged with artwork by GREER MCGETTRICK (THE MALLARD) in an edition of 300 copies.

***Sacramento scuzz rocking heirs to the Mayyors throne are releasing their debut LP on Mt.St.Mtn. limited edition wax with the Mt.St.Mtn. treatment. G. GREEN is and has been the musical project of a one Mr. ANDREW HENDERSON and a rotating cast of players (the incarnation on this record includes ROD MEYER (EAT SKULL, HOSPITALS). A quick paced platter of party punk hits on the verge of careening wildly out of control, G.Green’s first long player lands somewhere between Tyvek, Born Innocent-era Redd Kross and No Pocky For Kitty-era Superchunk. Look for their singles on 12XU, Malt Duck and Italian Beach Babes. The LP is lovingly wrapped in a double-sided 2 ft x 2 ft fold out poster-cover, a mix of off-set and silk-screen printing, with illustration by JAY HOWELL and design by MARK KAISER (per usual). Edition of 300 copies.

***“While we're waiting for this Sacramento powerhouse's debut album, Crap Culture to emerge later in 2012 thru another savvy imprint, here's a couple of songs that didn't quite make it onto that masterpiece. "Borne of the same twisted, fertile West Coast scene that produced Sic Alps, The Hospitals, Eat Skull, and Burning Yelloswan among countless others, Sacramento’s G. GREEN operate on a simultaneously unusual and community-spirited plane. The band—a core boy/girl duo with a rotating cast of helpers—have already released a handful of limited EPs and singles on several labels. Musically, G. Green share a common lineage with the greats—The Ramones, The Buff Medways, Velvet Underground, The Stooges. Their punchy hooks are buried under torrents of righteous fuzz and wailing tremolo solos; their dark and visual lyrics are near-indiscernible amidst vocalist ANDREW HENDERSON’s whiskey-shot yelps; and their dirty basslines and snappy drum lines hold together driving rhythmic momentum. This is such a painful description I can't even be bothered to look up where it came from. Seriously, The Stooges? Might as well throw the Godz, ELO and and The Swell Maps in there while we're at it.”
