Recollected Ambient Works Vol. 2: Escape To Los Angeles by Kid 606

Kid 606

Recollected Ambient Works Vol. 2: Escape To Los Angeles
Tigerbeat6

Moving beyond the piano-based minimalism of Bored of Excitement, this second volume in Kid606’s ambient series blends laid-back gamelan-influenced synthesizers with resonant field recordings and melancholic leads.  These ten tracks of completely drumless compositions are both restless and meditative. Waves of distortion mix with languid basslines and playful strings. John Lilly would approve.  “Escape to Los Angeles is a musical diary of the most peculiar and outlandish year of my life. After leaving Berlin to move to Los Angeles, I was immediately hit with a deeply unsettling Existential Dread of Living in another big city so soon. To avoid facing making a decision on where to live or what was going on in my psyche I went on a long road trip, ending with a pilgrimage to Roden Crater. I assumed I would live on the grounds there for a while to ‘get right with the world.’  “At a friend’s wedding in San Francisco along the way, I fell in love with an amazing girl who actually lived in Los Angeles. I still wasn’t ready to move back to L.A., and Roden Crater was way too far from L.A. to start a long-distance relationship. So we compromised and I moved to Joshua Tree instead. Even though I grew up in Southern California I had never even visited there. It was always a dream of mine to just roll up into some desert town where I don’t know anyone. To just rent a furnished apartment and see what...

Recollected Ambient Works Vol. 1: Bored Of Excitement by Kid 606

Kid 606

Recollected Ambient Works Vol. 1: Bored Of Excitement
Tigerbeat6

Best known for his frantic, sampledelic style going back to the late ’90s, Tigerbeat6 boss Kid606 (a.k.a. Miguel De Pedro) presents his latest work, Recollected Ambient Works Vol. 1: Bored of Excitement. While De Pedro is no stranger to ambient music, Bored of Excitement is his first release to owe a significant debt to the Berlin School. The album consists of seven truly pastoral, piano-based compositions shrugging off any trace of his glitch signature.  “After what would be my last Post-Berghain 9:00 A.M. psychotic break with reality, I knew I needed a change but decided that checking myself into a Berlin psych ward when I still only speak English was probably not the best idea. I realized this kind of thing never happened to me back in California and I should probably just get my shit together and move to Los Angeles immediately. “Reading about how Brian Eno was inspired to create the first ambient album Discreet Music while healing from an automobile accident, I observed my own bedridden state and my heart was set on doing something similar. I was going to stay home, get sane and make music without beats, samples, glitches or pretty much anything but piano. This was incredibly hard. I had started, but could not finish it. Even after sending the songs to a bunch of friends and listening to them endlessly, I just couldn’t do it. Feeling desperate to just get out of Berlin ASAP, I gave up on the album and instead...

Recollected Ambient Works, Vol. 1.5: Discreet Music by Kid 606

Kid 606

Recollected Ambient Works, Vol. 1.5: Discreet Music
Tigerbeat6

This cover of Brian Eno's seminal Discreet Music is a musical epilogue for Kid606's Bored of Excitement full length out in May. This single 30 minute song maintains the spirit and harmonic progressions from the original, but it eschews synthesizers and tape loops in favor of multitracked piano, multiple reverbs and pitch-modulated phasing. Discreet music came before Eno's Ambient 1: Music for Airports. It laid the foundation for modern ambient music by building upon Erik Satie's "furniture music" concept. Eno employed a generative compositional technique which creates an ever shifting atmosphere which is free from any traditional musical meter. Kid606's version is both a tribute and transformation of the original concept. The focus is still on filling the space of the environment it is listened in. Just like the lighting  in a room can be used to change the mood, this piece of functional music maybe left on at various volumes for many purposes in various spaces. In many ways this updated version has been altered to seem even more random and less repetitious to make it more suitable for listening to it on repeat for hours on end. Sidereal Bedtime Version is an eighty minute recreation that gives extra attention to spatial dynamics for maximum hypnotic effect. It slowly ends by gently folding in on itself to create a soothing fade out which makes it the perfect musical accompaniment to fall asleep to.

Ps I Love You
Tigerbeat6

“The Kid's most accomplished work to date and, finally, a Kid606 LP that's available on both formats!! The hottest property on the electronic scene at the moment whether its reworking 'straight outta compton' (v/vm), cheekily stating 'luke vibert can kiss my indie punk whiteboy ass' or running his own label, 'P.S. I Love You' is a step into more tranquil listening than usual and a more matured effort than his 'Soccer Girl' EP. From the click techno puissance of 'where we left off' and 'twirl' to the easing resonance of 'sometimes', the cascading 'vehemence' of 'strum' or the brilliance of 'now i wanna be a cowboy'...this album takes the foundations of minimalist composition and is rekindled with Kid 606's distinctive style. Highly Recommended!!!”—Boomkat

Ps You Love Me
Tigerbeat6

“KID606 returns with remixes of tracks lifted from the acclaimed 'P.S. I Love You' LP. Force Inc recording artist Twerk resounds the Kid's high-wave, multi-layered skills into a euphoric treatment for the techno masses. Farben (Jan Jelinek) pulls out a click-house masterpiece that resonates the sweet ambience of 'sometimes'. Matmos are up next, tackling 'twirl' into a humorous dance floor killer. Atom Heart brings forth a remix that totally crystalises the click-house genre he helped revolutionize. The lovely Pan American offer up a mesmerizing interpretation in beat driven splendor. Shitkatapukt's Rechenzentrum also use the 4-4 but totally re-animate and shift up the Kid's sound. Finally, Electric Company renovates the purpose of the remix with a definitive twist while Fennesz imbues proceedings with his consistently lovely, subtle sound.  Two new versions of 'together' and 'twirl' are included by the Kid himself, and a video of a brand new Kid 606 track is on the CD - directed by Dan Abrams.”—Boomkat

Kid606’s pursuit of happiness comes to a close with this collection of stellar remixes from his last LP.  Areal records techno guru Basteroid provides a super dynamic non-dancefloor remix of “Blood Stevia Sex magik”. Miffy goes into total late night underground dubby techno club vibes for both of his remixes, channeling the relentless spirit of Berghain, Club Mate and GHB (Minus the Date rape of course.) Rw Smith sings and dances his way through a Genre bending symphonic trap version of “Cloud Sculpting” Reminiscent of Baths, Rick Ross and John Adams. One of our favorite Japanese electronic music composers, MimiCof AKA Midori Hirano, retains the original glitchy uplifting spirit of “Tarsier Treehouse” while adding tasty skittering beats and drippy synthesizers.  Magic Panda does his highly original electro-shoegazey thing as only he can. Is his “Cloud Sculpting” remix better then the original? For the sake ego of Kid606’s ego we will not say, but it’s definitely a close call! AM Version lives in San Francisco and releases house music on Roam Recordings. His über laid back saxophone heavy remix of “Smooth Sailing” is the perfect closer for the EP. It keeps the yacht rock feel of the original while adding some AFX styled analog synthesis and sweet wailing vocals from Alona.

Happiness is nostalgic, starry-eyed and idyllic. Sonically influenced in equal parts by yacht rock like Christopher Cross, Doobie Brothers, Toto, and charming electronica like Mike Ink, The Orb, Oval, Border Community, the Field, and Tangerine Dream, its truest intrinsic inspiration comes not from other music, but from real life events like relocating from Berlin to Los Angeles, being newly single, beaches, road trips, hiking, sunsets and cuddling. The album is the complete opposite of 2012’s Lost in the Game, which was a cryptic exploration of disorientation, psychosis and depression. Instead of indulging in melancholy, these songs draw from the most cheerful moments of the here and now, connecting them to the best memories from childhood and late adolescence.  “Cute Never Dies” is a perfect title and song to usher in this new set—picture µ-Ziq’s happier melodies supplemented with orchestral cuts. “Coronado Bay Breezin’” occupies the same top-down contentedness space as Nate Dogg’s classic “Where I Wanna Be” refrain, while appropriately playful “Happiness Is a Warm Kitten” offers a squishy soul hug replete with vocal stabs. The older and wiser Kid606 hasn’t lost his knack for epic track titles; “If I Am Only Allowed One Song on This Album with Cut Up Female Vocals Then This Song Is It” is a beautiful and exuberant builder with bassy beds made for the cooing vocal cuts. Melodically driven in a way that supersedes the transitory Lost in the Game, Happiness gives way to thoughtful euphoria—blast “Party Gambas” and its joyful pad sweeps,...

Going Back To Kali Yuga Ep by Kid 606

Kid 606

Going Back To Kali Yuga Ep
Tigerbeat6

In anticipation of his new album, 'Happiness', Kid606 has dropped a 6 track mixtape of exclusive new, non-album tracks. Given Kid606's recent return to California, the mixtape title 'Going Back to Kali Yuga' has an obvious meaning. Then again, the Hindu Kali Yuga epoch has been going on since over 3000 years BC. Any return to this apocalyptic time could only be one of consciousness. The Sikhs consider this an era when people should meditate as much as possible. What Kid606 has to meditate upon that is dark and involves a return to where he started is up for speculation though. In the meantime, enjoy these freaked-out moody synth-hop jams!

Lost In The Game (Remixes)
Tigerbeat6

This EP is the uptempo silver lining to the dark cloud of Kid606's "Lost in the game" album. These remixes keep the somber and pensive melodies but ditch the downtempo 808 beats in favor of some superfun double time Jungle/Drum & Bass bizness. Stellar remixes of "Godspeed you African American emperor" and "Baroque and out of money" come from good friends LESSER and Kingbastard (Not to imply that the other remixers who missed the deadlines or turned in bad remixes aren't good friends....no wait, that's exactly what we are implying!). As a bonus we have included Kid606's BlissCrunk remix of Magic Panda's "Tokyo", and live recordings of "Left hand pathfinder" and "Step into the light you fucking idiot!" which finish things off in fine style.

Lost In The Game by Kid 606

Kid 606

Lost In The Game
Tigerbeat6

“Fuck up everything you can before you plan on slowing down.” There’s a mouthful of youthful hubris, originally expressed by a 21-year-old Miguel De Pedro, a.k.a. Kid606. In the twelve years since that statement, things have definitely been fucked up. Here’s the stats: ten albums, ten cats, two failed engagements, countless psychedelic and chemical revelations, lapping the world multiple times to play in more countries then he previously knew existed, a hairline that would make a Franciscan monk proud, Buddhism and physical fitness—remember how Miles Davis turned himself around and got into boxing? It’d be tempting to use some cliché about reflection (“Kid606’s Blood on the Tracks!”; “now it’s Adult606!”) but that’s not the case. Lost in the Game is a sea-change, but it’s not Sea Change. Instead, it’s a revised focus. Everything’s been fucked up, and you can create the world’s most headphucking fuck-ups with any number of plugins. Anyone can be an “anti-DJ” sound artist. Mashups have gone to the posh clubs. Here De Pedro confronts an unlikely new partner—melody. The beats on Game don’t disintegrate every second bar anymore. The Kid could spend the rest of his life playing “I love the 2000s” to nostalgic audiences, but what the hell kind of creative life is it when you stop evolving at 26? The eccentric song titles are still present, but opener “Godspeed You African American Emperor” lays down the new ground rules. Distorted organs and snaky arpeggios with a beat that’s more there to keep the party...

Gimme Summer Ep by Kid 606

Gimme Summer Ep
Tigerbeat6

Winter in Berlin can be hell, especially when you are detoxing from the summer's hedonic festivities and this is just when Kid606 was so inspired by the icy gloom and doom to create "Gimme Summer", an uplifting and dynamic combination of nostalgic synth-pop, warm shoegazey IDM and propulsive Hip-hop beats. After falling in love with Claude Speeed's remix of Kuedo's "Work, Live & Sleep In Collapsing Space" on Planet Mu,  we wanted to work with him ASAP and are beyond pleased with his equally spacey and indulgent seven minute epic remix of Gimme Summer. Newest Tigerbeat6 signee Magic Panda from the mystic hinterland of Norfolk, UK gets all ethereal and uplifting on his Lo-fi Techno remix of "New Boss Same As Old Boss" (A new track from Kid606's upcoming "Lost in the Game" album.) Avant Garde/Darkwave/Indie rock icons Xiu Xiu (Kill Rock Stars, Polyvinyl, Bella Union) provide a somber toned down Mix reminiscent of Brock Van Wey, Main and Flying saucer attack. The last three tracks are exclusive to this release and are Kid606's musical interpretations on the rest of the four seasons using the same studio setup he used to make Gimme Summer.

What a long, strange trip it’s been. Mostly, it’s been a trip.   Here’s a more melodic Kid606 – older, wiser, more in touch with the inner self. As such, you’ve got warm intricate melodies over snappy hip-hop beats on “Dark Archipelago” and “Love Me” that wouldn’t be out of touch coming from Ratatat. “I Want Her Wings” and the title track, meanwhile, spin cloud rap into a more melancholy, introspective vibe. Here’s where that decayed cousin of acid shows up, in stray bent synth squelches that fall through a reverb bedding.   We do get our moment of truly surreal beauty, however, with “When Things Come Together”, somewhere between rave comedown and the sci-fi nostalgia of the Blade Runner soundtrack. “Temporary Revelations” and especially closer “Hood Gone Mad” further this theme, with the EP ending by coming in from the cold in an electronic dystopia. It’s gritty out there, but you can always come home and turn on the synths.

Ejaculazer Tag
Tigerbeat6

Ejaculazer Tag: A big 80 bpm blast of shiny synthesizer funk influenced in equal parts by Dr. Dre, Daft Punk, and Vangelis. Mochipet brings an epic remix that makes the original sound small in comparison with sweeping strings and a soaring angelic vocal chorus. We call it life: another 80 bpm Sci-fi hip hop jam, but dark and brooding with a more dirty south crunk influence. Ejaculazer Tag 160bpm club remix: High power 160 bpm hyped up juke styled remix. Cartoon funk: this one is just plain freaky and weird like someone spilled cough syrup in your 808 and it had a mind of its own. Ejaculazer Tag - Joe Lentini Dub: New Schematic artist Joe Lentini shows another side of his incredibly diverse style with this thick and contemplative smoothjam. Let’s Get Radioactive - Kanji Kinetic remix: Mutantbass Mastermind and the UK’s most underrated producer makes a fun and nasty hardcore crowdpleaser out of Kid606’s delusional song about aliens and nuclear energy. Cover art by Dj Zhao.

Let's Get Radioactive (or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Nuclear Energy) by Kid 606

Kid 606

Let's Get Radioactive (or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Nuclear Energy)
Tigerbeat6

This is my new EP. Musically influenced by dirty south crunked out hip-hop, retardedly distorted dumbstep drops, Marvin Gaye, and a bit of Terry Riley/Steve Reich piano magic; conceptually influenced by the raping and destruction of our planet from conspicuous consumption, uncontrolled capitalism, constant overstimulation and the endless quest for more. Oh, and a lot of it is what an alien entity from another dimension told me about how I should be ok with the way things are and think positively regarding our upcoming nuclear-fueled techno utopia and/or apocalypse (Utopiapocalypse?). I’ve been told the only way left to save the world is for society to self implode, and use the planet up for all its worth so our then uninhabitable earth can be better off without us. Sounds like the way things are going, right? Even if we say that we are willing to lead simpler and less overindulgent lifestyles, and that we don’t want all our options to be faster, sexier, cheaper, better, bigger... the choices are always being made for us. The less expensive and more accessible non-renewable energy is, the worse things are going to get. But hey, at least you will be able to drive an electric car, and may even get that jet pack you dreamt about when you were a kid... Remixes come courtesy of Deathface (Trouble & Bass), Wad of Money (Dolby Anol) and Duke Slammer (Luke’s Anger/Bonus Round).

Don't Sweat The Technics++ (1997-1998) by Kid 606

Kid 606

Don't Sweat The Technics++ (1997-1998)
Tigerbeat6

Fun fact: there was a time when Kid606 actually was very much a kid – a hyped-up, metal-mouthed teen with a dream, some machines, and no attention span. With nary a computer in sight, the then-unknown Miguel De Pedro set out to fuck the scene before he even really knew what it was. These raw and noisy Electro/ Gabber/ IDM tracks were mostly made and improvised on a laundry-list of classic gear – the Roland 303, 606, 808, and 909, a Paia Modular, Sequential Circuits Pro-one, Moog Rogue, Akai S3000, and Kurzweill K2000S. Like the slightly more well-known at-the-time Orbital, De Pedro sequenced with an Alesis MMT-8 recording everything live to a DAT walkman without the aid of any multi-tracking (not that it wasn’t available back then, but it takes patience, which was clearly in short supply in Kid606’s hormone- and ADHD-riddled brain). With the aforementioned gear list, you’re thinking acid and techno classix, so stop – remember again who you’re dealing with. Kid606 wasn’t (isn’t) Autechre or Luke Vibert (a-duh), and this sure ain’t Incunabula, to say nothing of “Military Jazz”. Instead, what we have here is a basket of hardcore fun: build from average track bpm’s of around 170bpm, next to no musical knowledge and a whole lot of teenage angst (De Pedro’s no rapper, but let’s just say that Odd Future didn’t invent the fucked-up teenage psyche confessional). We guarantee you an interesting listen; by the end of all 38 tracks you will surely be as appreciative...

Dance With The Chorizo Ep
Tigerbeat6

Special Maxi-EP release from Kid606 and his innovative electronica buddies. In true Tigerbeat6 fashion this release is all over the map musically but high quality throughout. Aside from the dark and atmospheric 808 groove of "Samhain Atlanta", the new Kid606 tracks are of his more mashup/dancefloor style, with the funky Ska meets aggressive Soca Anthem "Another One Bites the Dubstep" being the standout. Cex Delivers an epic eight minute remix of "Underwear Everywhere" in his ambient Bataille Royale style, while dDamage goes the opposite direction, making their remix of "Baltimorrow's Parties" sound like early Jesus and Mary Chain or a lost b-side from Ministry's "Land of Rape and Honey" Sessions. The C.L.A.W.S and Eats Tapes remixes prove minimal funky techno can still be abstract and interesting. True UK hardcore rave innovator Michael Forshaw brings the ruckus with his speaker shattering version of "Hello Serotonin, My Old Friend", sounding like an updated soundclash between AFX and the Prodigy at their most mentalist.

Shout At The Doner
Tigerbeat6

Kid606's most accomplished record to date, Shout at the Doener combines all his usual brash and exciting plunderphonic and sampledelic elements with a whole new world of uncharacteristically musical and danceable hooks and styles both fresh and timeless.   606 draws on some of his biggest electronic influences--LFO, AFX, Mike Ink, Green Velvet, Mouse on Mars, The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Shizuo, Mr. Oizo, Giorgio Moroder--to make bold and powerful songs about the decline of America, leaving California, broken hearts, drunken hook-ups, social phobias, soulless partying, economic downfall, gnarly basslines, ego worship, moving to Berlin, diva vocals, Baltimore club, obsessive-compulsive disorder, the best parts of horror movies, acid house, ADHD, shameless irony, ADHD, speed garage, megalomania, LSD, Satanism, and the ever-prevalent doener kebab (Europe's best late-night cuisine to consume on the way home from from the club).   This release is the Kid's first successful stab at what one might call "schizotronics"--a genre that combines the elements of many dance music styles without pretension, trying too hard to fit into any trend, or losing the joy and energy of the driving beats and basslines that make music so fun in the first place. It's intelligent dance music for people who thought they didn't like intelligent dance music.

Die Soundboy Die
Tigerbeat6

Kid606 returns to the fray with Die Soundboy Die, a new mini-album with nine original songs that devour and warp current musical trends like dubstep, bassline, ragga, techno, and rave (both old and new!).  While it stops short of being a concept album, Die Soundboy Die features dark and scary, bass-heavy jams that all celebrate life while thinking about death. Every track is different in style and tempo, but a clear musical ideology links them together. Tested on soundsystems and PAs worldwide, these songs have the low-end to make your ass shake and stomach rumble. This is Kid 606 showing mad respect to the dub and bass legends and current artists who have influenced him.  "... fantastic, pounding technojoy of the highest level. Absolutely dominated by pulsatile, growling basslines; there are obvious dubstep grooves here, but delivered at the restless, aggressive pace we've come to expect.... Kid606 has taken the signifiers of classic electronica from the past decade (bits of jump-up, techno, hardcore, and bassline all take the lead at various points) to create a miniature tour de force of dancefloor-fillers." --Diskant.net

Pretty Girls Make Raves

Pretty Girls Make Raves is a 45-minute tribute to analog synths, overdriven vocals, Baltimore club and throbbing bass-heavy techno music. Anyone who has been to one of Kid606’s recent high-energy live performances has heard some of these tracks, all created specifically to keep the bassbins thumpin’ and the dancefloor moving. With a minimum of samples, these songs are densely packed with layer upon layer of jackin’ funked out sonics, fuzzy vocals, subtle edits and immense twisted buildups. True to the 4/4 techno rush made classic by artists like Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Daft Punk, Ark and Green Velvet but with the lyrical content and punk spirit of the Germs, Ministry and Black Flag, this is not future music or sci-fi obsessed electro in any way; this album is about fun, fun, and more fun.

Kid606 didn’t want to die without releasing this record. The twelve songs that comprise Resilience were recorded around the globe, from the isolated coldness of Stavenger, Norway, to the claustrophobic heat of Athens, Greece. Noticeable immediately is the undiluted rhythmic strength of the music. The sound is derived from the most primal elements of dancehall, dub, house and hip-hop but everything is tweaked just enough to avoid the formulaic complacence that plagues most instrumental electronica. Resilience will surprise many familiar with the almost schizophrenic range of Kid606’s output over the years, but rest assured, this is the Kid at his most uninhibited, creating in his natural element. Individually, each song has a unique identity and style but together they form a cohesive statement of love, depression, nostalgia, psychedelia, escapism and the contradictory nature of trying to be happy in a life without control. In his own words, “This is my favorite album because I had so much internal pressure and inspiration to write these songs, but no external pressure to make an album, worry about deadlines or fret over how they would be received. None of the songs on this record are about being naive or discovering things like my past releases, but all are about successfully transferring what I heard in my head into songs and then into an album I always wanted to make.”

Who Still Kill Sound? by Kid 606

Kid 606

Who Still Kill Sound?
Tigerbeat6

Who Still Kill Sound? (aka Vol. 2, more shiz, the illegal stuff, too hot for Ipecac, didn’t fit on KSB4SKU, more nails in the coffin, purging the soul, flogging a dead laptop, milking the cow dry, cleaning out Miguel’s hard drive, stuff that didn’t fit anywhere else, stuff that maybe doesn’t even fit here, stuff Tigerbeat6’s lawyers don’t want them releasing, but you know you want anyway.) Ingredients: two booming, thematically linked neorave breakbeat tracks; a live acid house basement party jam; two rinsing ragga bootleg jungle slammers; four booty bass bouncers (two with vocals from Sue Cie of Gold Chains); a crunked-up DJ Screw tribute; an unfinished Cex remix; a sweet emo monosynth song from the orthodontia years; a different version of a com.a remix, and two gabber blowouts for crushing sound systems while retaining danceability. Plus: artwork by Joel Trussell (the “Illness” video and the illustrations from KSB4SKU).  • Known worldwide for energetic, action-packed live set made up of material on this very disc  • 70 minutes dedicated to the deviated dancehall maniac found somewhere in all of us  • Many critically and commercially acclaimed releases on well respected labels like Ipecac, Mille Plateaux, Fatcat, and upcoming material on Souljazz, Wall of Sound and more  • No exports to Europe, UK, or Japan

***This crazy newacidtechnohardcorebreakbeat action from hyperactive manboy Kid606's first single off the upcoming full length album Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You (due in fall 2003 on Ipecac) is a retro hardcore techno anthem for a period which still hasn't occurred yet: sweeping melodies and gnarling basslines combined with classic beats and all the sonic sci-fi twist and turns needed to keep you at the edge of your listening seat. "Ecstasy Motherfucker" is a 9-minute, relentless 4/4 160-BPM epic with more energy in it than most albums - thumping 909s mixed with Baltimore breaks and booty 808s with DSP rush breakdowns all climaxing in a bass-heavy speedcore gabber blowout.  The 12-inch includes an exclusive mix of "The Illness," while the CD comes through with three new Kid606 songs: "Evasion," the haunting, ambient "Circumvent" and "Maybe" featuring Kevin Blechdom on accordion.  Note: each format features different artwork, as the CD digipak case could not accurately recreate the 12-inch cover design.  * DJ-friendly 45 RPM 12-inch vinyl and CD with bonus tracks  * Full U.S. tour in August with DJ/rupture and Dwayne Sodahberk, plus festival and one-off dates in Europe, Canada, Australia and more  * Video for "The Illness" circulated online and submitted to all video networks  * Press via Hopper PR and full college radio mailout  12-inch track listing 1. The Illness 12" mix 2. The Illness extended dance mix 3. Ecstasy Motherfucker  CD track listing 1. The Illness 12" mix 2. Ecstasy...

Action Packed Mentalist Brings You The Fucking Jams by Kid 606

Kid 606

Action Packed Mentalist Brings You The Fucking Jams
Violent Turd

***BACK IN STOCK!!! The long awaited new album from laptop butcher phenomenon KID606. Seven hater-hating tracks of brain-bashing, glitch-smacking, beat-breaking electronics to kick it out with. Released on New Zealand's uncompromising Violent Turd label. This lazy IDM equivalent to 2 Live Crew’s legendary "Banned in the USA" is an unmistakable hyped-up, overclimactic, plunderphonic, gabber rave hiphop opera, that lasciviously lifts voices from the familiar, and lingers luxuriously to tease out their deeper meanings over ambient washes of sound, big booty beats, soulful R&B technoidmhouse, the shrill and stifled scream of voiceless punk angst and whiplash raga jungle snarerush rinseouts, and deposits all these musings on disc to be savored by the few consumers worldwide who will actually be able to obtain this album.
