***This is the first full length release by the duo of Lau Nau (Finland) & Joshua Burkett (USA). ‘~' was put together in the year 2024... with many thanks to Juho Toivonen, who is releasing this on CD on his great Akti label. (Josh met Juho in Finland last year, and his interest in these musics sparked up this magic collaboration) These recordings are impossible to categorize, as they seem to transcend genres. And though recorded separately, so many many miles away from each other, there is a close bond that sounds intimate and very close. And yes, Lau's vocals are in Finnish, they are so easy on the ears of anyone/anywhere… One-sided LP housed in hand painted jackets.
