This triple-disc album is a three-hour anthology of 52 previously unreleased electronica and ambient soundscapes from the last 25 years—a mature blend of brand new material, updated and adapted pieces, and raw, untouched and unadulterated tracks from yesteryear. It comes packaged in a deluxe eight-panel foldout digipak. “The majority of the tracks were made in the early ’90s in London, an era when I was listening to a lot of music from the emerging ‘ambient’ and electronica scenes. At that point I had a part-time job, I worked on the till. Through various means of ‘creative accounting’ the job afforded me to buy at least one new record every lunch break. I worked near Wardour Street and went shopping every day. I bought everything that came out on Warp, Rephlex, R&S, Apollo and an assortment of other labels. These records in part influenced what I was creating at the time.” —Andrew Liles

***ANDREW LILES’ Wanton Wives... follows on from where his Maleficent Monster left off in June and also follows on from his recent Equestrian Vortex soundtrack 10" on Death Waltz. This, the second LP of horror inspired nastiness in his series for Blackest Rainbow, features creeping giallo jazz with sultry spoken vocals, synth heavy monsters, cannibal lunacy, and a track called 'Wild Boar', wait until you hear that one. This is the sound of someone who has spent too many late nights watching any horror films they can get their hands on. Legendary UK artist GRAHAM HuMPHREYS returns to create new art, this time featuring Liles bursting from his poor wives chest whilst she grasps a skull and a decapitated head of a voodoo priestess version of herself. She endures a lot... Rotting Zombie Brains edition of 350 copies pressed on 180 gram pink virgin vinyl with red and green splatter packaged in a UV gloss finished sleeve.

***Massively prolific UK artist, and NURSE WITH WOUND and CURRENT 93 member, ANDREW LILES returns to Blackest Rainbow. This new full length LP consists of themes, incidental music, bridging songs, interludes, creaks and groans created as imaginary soundtracks for imaginary horror films. 40 minutes of musical interpretations on a ‘horrific’ theme influenced by such maestros as Donald Rubinstein, John Carpenter, Fabio Frizzi and Ennio Morricone. The tracks cover a vast amount of ground including austere orchestral pieces, voodoo drums, torture porn, possession, cheesy ‘80s soundtracks, Giallo, ‘70s synths, mellotrons, flutes, piano and much much more. Andrew also commissioned legendary UK artist and graphic designer GRAHAM HUMPHREYS, the man behind the incredible original UK quad posters for Evil Dead II and the Nightmare On Elm Street series. Graham has recently worked with Death Waltz for their Zombie Flesh Eaters and their impending City Of The Living Dead reissue. The LP is released strictly old school style, no digital download, in an edition of 500 in UV gloss finished sleeve, and pressed on 180 gram slime green vinyl with blood splatter effects.
