Self-released debut CD from Massachusetts teen, recorded by his younger brother in Grandma's basement. Mom is an ex-hippy folk singer and dad has been writing a romantic musical about industrialization for the past 20 years. The parents contribute one song, and 4 are written by the kid. It's all Willy on acoustic guitar & vocals, with lyrics uncharacteristic of any teenagers we know. Willy's been on tour with Death Cab For Cutie as well as with Rosanne Cash. Summer touring with My Morning Jacket (UK), Ben Kweller, Carole King, The (Grateful) Dead (5 dates in California and 2 in Boston). Full-length album due on Sept. 14 on Team Love Records, run by Mr. Oberst of Bright Eyes fame. These songs have been getting aired on BBC-1 and XFM radio in London (where it's been driving people nuts trying to find it). In fact, the EP's not been available in any store, and it's now exclusively distributed by Revolver. Previously available only in xerox/scotch tape/glue stick home-made sleeves but now real jackets and bar codes have been commissioned by the aesthetes at Revolver. Sure to be a conversation piece in the years to come, to be passed on to your children and grandchildren.
