Grungy, blurry and topped with cutting vocals, San Francisco trio Peace Creep is a musical blitzkrieg! Their self-titled, vinyl-only debut EP marks the return of Triclops!’s amazing wonder-guitarist and vocalist, Christian Beaulieu. Drawing equally on Hüsker Dü, Superchunk, Dinosaur Jr and Breeders, as well as their own heavier musical history including Bottles and Skulls and Pins of Light, Peace Creep obliterates the stage, spilling over their instruments like a house party out of control. The group’s sound nods at their hardcore influences, while incorporating elements ranging from psychedelic to noise. After touring the world in Bay Area acid rock legends Triclops!, Beaulieu relocated to Los Angeles to form the experimental collective Anywhere. That ensemble’s participants included Mars Volta’s Cedric Bixler, Melvins’ Dale Crover, and Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic. Triclops!’s heavyweight drummer Phil Becker moved on to form San Francisco supergroup Pins of Light (also currently on Alternative Tentacles). These two former bandmates reunited to form Peace Creep and are joined by powerful bassist Donny Newenhouse (Film School, Hot Fog). Peace Creep have already played a number of shows with Melt Banana, Wavves, Mike Watt + The Secondmen, Screaming Females, Retox, Tweak Bird and more. Their performances are like being at the best house show of your life, or maybe you’re just witnessing an unbelievably personal and electrifying moment.
