“In order to jam, one must listen. You must tune in to what the other players are doing. When the proper tuning has been attained you are essentially accessing a certain type of telepathy. It’s the truth – just ask the next dirty hippy you see wearing a Grateful Dead tee shirt. While writing and recording these songs I had no one to jam with. Yet I still relied heavily on telepathy. In the dead of the night I listened intently to nothing. And in that nothing I sought out the love, thoughts, and hopes of my closest friends. I took what I heard and I made it into music.”
