***Charles Joseph Smith is a pianist, composer, arranger, writer and dancer based in Chicago, IL, and he has been a staple personality in the city’s arts community for decades. Inspired by the work of 20th century composer and electronic instrument inventor Salvatore Martirano, The Electroacoustics Come Out is a double-length album packed with electronic-based piano jams, ditties, oddities and experimentations. In 2021, Dr. Smith published an autobiography titled The 88 Keys That Opened Doors, a book which details his experience in the arts as a person living with autism. He is also a two-time recipient of honorarium grants from Elastic Arts.
