"in an unexpected turn of events I've hooked up with a cool band from Windsor, Canada—THE CHEETAH REMNANTS, who being huge Willie fans, had asked me to produce their debut single. The songs were great, but have been shelved for now, in the interest of getting on with god's greater plan! You see over lentil soup and green tea at the Remnants main hang out—the Carvery on Wyandotte, Windsor—we hatched a plan to form another band so rockin' and uptight we could not be denied. During the last few months we've been writing and performing as one funky unit in any province that would have us. Through the use of some onsite audio angels we have captured a blissfully jamming set of songs in a live atmosphere—we all feel proud of it and think it will be the perfect first document of our new project STRAT—Live at the Whammy Bar which will be released in a limited run of LPs by the fine people at Puzzle Records. Think Cheap Trick at Budokan meets Kiss Alive divided by Sheik Yerbouti-era Zappa played by a crappy new wave band.
