Using a droning electric guitar and/or organ in a variety of tones ranging from the excoriating to elegiac, Total's music envelops the listener in a haze of overtones variously evoking Indian music, machine noise, nature sounds, and monolithic power. This may be a more "accessible" carefully-edited look at Toal than some of their recent releases, but it surrenders not one iota of hallucinogenic juice.
