Four long tracks from the duo of Zachary James Watkins (Black Spirituals) and Ross Peacock flow with a dubby energy. Drum machines lock into relentlessly funky grooves, synth fanfares flutter and guitar lines carve jagged labyrinths out of time. On album closer “The End”, the synths take a turn for the dungeon-esque, while syncopated beats flicker like tongues of molten metal.
