Windmills by the Ocean returns from obscurity to deliver an unexpected and stunning second album years in the making. Awash in waves of droney guitars, lush melodies and vocals, II is a truly hypnotic follow-up to their self-titled debut. ***A recently unearthed 2003 recording from Boston natives MIKE DAVIS, DAVE DUNBAR, BROOKE GILLESPIE, BRYANT CLIFFORD MEYER, and THOS NILES, who have gone to play in 27, ANODYNE, ISIS, and RED SPAROWES. A collection of rock-based tracks steeped in drone, and dipped in melody, electronics. Heavy, mildly repetitive and slowly headbanging.
