While they were pretty much unnoticed in their day, Monoshock's time has come. This collects of all the 7-inch, compilation, and early demo output from these psych-punk monsters. Recorded between 1989 and 1995, the album is a fiery-hot masterstroke of fuzz-fueled, wah-damaged, riff-crazed punk which draws from Hawkwind, The Stooges, Simply Saucer, and other gods of the genre. Seventeen massive tracks in all, including five previously unreleased jams. The band's stellar Walk to the Fire has been acknowledged as one of the classic psych albums of all time. Easily the best reissue of a California band since the Public Nuisance.
