Snowgoose, formed by the seasoned talents of Jim McCulloch (The Soup Dragons, Isobel Campbell and BMX Bandits) and the ethereal vocals of Anna Sheard, has been a notable presence in the Glasgow music scene since their debut in 2012. "Descendant" continues their exploration of intricate musical landscapes, delving into themes of love, loss, and the fleeting moments of life.

Recorded at Chem 19 Studios in Glasgow, "Descendant" captures the raw, unfiltered essence of Snowgoose’s sound. The album features contributions from Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub) on guitar, Chris Geddes (Belle and Sebastian) on keyboards, Stevie Jones (Arab Strap) on bass guitar, Tim Davidson (Tracyanne & Danny) on pedal steel, Stuart Kidd (BMX Bandits) drums, and Adam Stearns (Trembling Bells) drums and percussion, enhancing the textured, emotive layers that define the band's music.
