***HELP is your very own no muss, no fuss American power trio from outer space. Driven by the collective horsepower of a band firing on all cylinders, each member plays an integral role in the trioʼs sound. The bandʼs debut 7-inch churns out music you can jump around to, music you can listen deeply to; music that becomes your own. In the flesh, Helpʼs loyal fans have followed the band from the Key Club (Hollywood) opening for Helmet, to gigs at The Echo (Echo Park), a month-long (packed) residency at La Cita (Downtown) and special appearances at the DIY Gallery and Cheetahʼs. Features bassist PETE LYMAN (Infrasonic Sound), drummer PETE BEEMAN (BURNING BRIDES, GUZZARD), and guitarist/vocalist PAUL (QUI).

***In the two short years since their formation, SLANG CHICKEN have created a unique home for themselves in the Los Angeles music scene. Honing a deliberate yet chaotic blend of tumbling rock & roll, undeniable punk anthems and muddy Americana, they stand proud in the muck of their innovations. While the five tracks of My Floor channel a myriad of Slang Chickens’ influences, from Hank Williams, Neil Young, Devo and Nick Lowe to The Gun Club, Pavement, Black Flag and the Beach Boys, the EP is far from a throwback and the L.A. based quartet is anything but a kitsch act. Slang Chickens have comfortably shared the stage with acts like Jay Reatard, Dum Dum Girls, Titus Andronicus, The Morning Benders and Surfer Blood, all the while throwing a smirk and a nod to the music of the past that they find so much inspiration in. My Floor is a fitting successor to the band’s debut self-titled LP, with fistfuls of banjo licks, down-home harmonies and precise, melodic angularity. Available as a joint release from Los Angeles labels Infrasonic Sound and Psychedelic Judaism. 12-inch EP features a special message scratched into the record’s B-side.
