***"It would take five years and two lineup changes for Handful of Snowdrops to release their debut album, the iconic Land of the Damaned. While too many of the songs written during that period never made it to tape, some fortunately did. This is what is believed to be the first home recording from the second generation of the band with Jean-Pierre as the leas singer. All tracks were recorded in a single day in a dark and humid basement using a beat up TEAC 4-track tape cassette recorder borrowed from a friend. Since the original mix downs are long gone, we had to salvage the music from two old worn out cassette copies. It would be fair to say that the recordings are very representative of the overwhelming naivety of the early compositions. It's a unique chance to have another look inside an old photo album you thought was lost forever." Available on vinyl for the first time. Edition of 300 copies on cream colored vinyl.

After a first reissue, which seduced music lovers nearly 40 years after the group's disbanding, Le Backstore and On The Roof have repressed the works of IKO as a double vinyl set. '83 & Extra Studio Works includes the entirety of the '83 album, plus four tracks recorded after its original release. The additional pieces reveal an outfit that pushes its own limits, gaining in intensity while straying away from the more abrasive sound of the early days. The keen desire to experiment that has always been present in the trio's artistic approach is definitely there.
