***Eight new destructive Tracks from Tokyo’s CROW, featuring five classic blasts of crushing metallic hardcore with harsh vocals and searing guitar solos, framed by bursts of noise-driven experimentation and end capped by a “Hi-tone” vocal version of the title track. Eye is Crow's first new recording in twelve years. Crow’s origins are in the legendary mid-1980s golden era of Japanese punk, formed in Osaka with an intense influence of guitar driven UK hardcore. They released two seminal Japanese punk records, Who Killed Dove? EP and Last Chaos LP, before going dormant at the end of the 80s. Lead Vocalist CROW reorganized the band in the mid 1990s in Tokyo with new members including guitarist TOMIO from JUNTESS. Tomio's playing added a heavier weight to the band’s sound as their sound became a synthesis of their original Discharge-influenced attack and metallic crust hardcore. The band released several EPs, the classic Bloody Tear album, and toured the West Coast three times. Eye touches on aspects of the band's often experimental 7" EP releases, but is grounded by their classic brutal hardcore sound. Recorded at Noise Room Studios in Tokyo in 2022, mastered for vinyl by DIETRICH SCHOENEMANN at Complete mastering, It Comes with an 11” x 17” insert in a 24 Pt. Board jacket designed by lead vocalist, Crow and was pressed at RTI.

***Originally released in 1994 by Photographer Murray Bowles and Filth Bassist Lenny Johnson’s collaborative East Bay Menace label, this split combined two of New Mexico’s fiercest hardcore bands on one split LP. East Bay Transplants from Santa Fe, New Mexico GRIMPLE’s sound had become more harsh, caustic and acidic, retaining strong songwriting of their debut LP but shedding some of their pop sensibilities for quick metallic riffing. Their brother band, Santa Fe’s LOGICAL NONSENSE had also begun to leans heavier, creatively arranged songs which front harsh guttural vocals and brutal crushing riffs pointing to the sound of their raging follow up LP’s on Alternative Tentacles, and their influences of Extreme Noise Terror, Naplam Death and Neurosis.  This album has not been repressed since it’s original pressing in 1994. It was been remixed by NOAH LANDIS from Neurosis / Christ On Parade and re-mastered by BOB WESTON at Chicago Mastering Service. Sin Egen Motstandare by Totalitar

Totalitar

Sin Egen Motstandare
Prank

***REISSUED!!! Sweden’s TOTALITÄR originated from small town Hudiksvall in the mid-'80s silver age of Swedish Hardcore punk, releasing a few EPs and touring the UK before disbanding in 1990. In 1994 the band reunited with new drummer, JALLO from NO SECURITY, to record what is arguably one of the best Swedish hardcore punk albums ever made, Sin Egen Motstandare “One’s own enemy”. Like any great punk record, it’s a stark reaction to the world around them with poignant, relevant lyrics but served as marker for the elevation to what would become Totalitär's trademark sound—quick, raging blasts of riveting d-beat hardcore drawing influence from classic Discharge and early Swedish hardcore, but distilled to remarkable, catchy simplicity that masked incredible ingenuity within it’s straight forward template. Their prolific recording saw them record another two LPs, two split LPs, ten 7-inch EPs and split EPs, until a final live performance in 2003 at Pointless fest in Philadelphia saw the members dispersed to play in too many bands to count: MEANWHILE, DISSEKERAD, KRIG I HUDIK, INSTITUTION, KRIGSHOT, MAKABERT FYND, KATASTROF, KRIGSHOT, KVOTERINGEN, HUMANT BLOD and more. Originally released as a CD-only release on the Finn Record label, Sin Egen Motståndare was originally released on vinyl by Prank in 1997 and again in a remastered version in 2003. This edition is from the original 2003 metal work but pressed at RTI and presented in a stoughton tip-on sleeve with insert. Both the music and the message remain a vital inspiration, who’s influence has only grown...

***BACK IN STOCK!!! LIFE'S BLOOD were a legendary short lived band from New York City. Formed in 1987, The band played 20 shows and recorded two radio shows, a demo at Don Fury, one 7-inch, "Defiance," released on Combined Effort Records and appeared on the seminal New Breed tape comp in 1988. In these short 14 months as a band they left an indelible mark on the history of hardcore punk, as their sharp, earnest, and challenging lyrics backed with remarkably sturdy, dissonant and distorted hardcore songs emerged at a time where the focus of underground hardcore had been blurred by commercialism, crossover and violence. Hardcore A.D. 1988 collects 27 songs from their Defiance EP, demo tape, compilation tracks, their posthumous split EP with Sticks And Stones, WFMU and WNYU recordings and live tracks, Members went on to play in BORN AGAINST, MENACE DEMENT, SINKING BODY, MEN'S RECOVERY PROJECT COLLAPSE and MY RIFLE. Prank

***Sapporo, Japan's SLANG’s sixth LP may be the most definitive expressions of the bands long journey as part of and evolution within the history of Japanese hardcore. Starting in the late 1980s as a classic sounding Japanese hardcore band, Slang’s sound became heavily influenced in the 1990s by NYHC like Agnostic Front, Madball and slower breakdowns as a means for impact, In the 2000s the band embraced more metallic influences and slowly began to seam all of it together,: the tough, growling vocals, the slow, crushing breakdowns, raging guitar leads, lightening fast hardcore charge. Their previous two albums The Immortal Sin and Life Made Me Hardcore began the road to this, but Glory Outshines Doom goes to another level of combining all these elements to create an intense, dark,  completely and totally brutal record, crashing barriers between punk, metal and hardcore. Issued on CD by Pizza Of Death, this is its first appearance on vinyl and comes in a heavy weight sleeve with full color inner sleeve and labels.

***A chaotic swirl blasting at extreme velocity, the San Francisco Bay Area's NO STATIK's debut 10-song LP is a torrent of rapid fire drum attack, searing guitar leads and harsh vocals. No Statik’s sound draws from the fast, chaotic hardcore sound of the 1990s as the band's long pedigree maps DIY hardcore scene of the last two decades—members previously played in SCROTUM GRINDER, MOMENTO MORI, IMPETUS INTER, LOOK BACK AND LAUGH, DESTROY!,  ARTIMUS PYLE, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?, END OF THE CENTURY PARTY, MURDER SUICIDE-PACT,  JUD JUD, FUCKFACE, CONQUEST FOR DEATH, and SCHOLASTIC DETH—but combines diverse elements of all those past, present and future sounds to ignite another level of sonic mayhem.
