***In alliance with Translation Loss Records, Toxic Assets is pleased to be wrangling the vinyl release of the second release by Ohio’s STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, the amazing True Predation. The band’s sound is a punch to the gut, a metallic take on d-beat that is perhaps comparable (if a comparison needs to be made) to World Burns to Death with the vocal attack of early Neurosis. The band’s songwriting approach is unique, though, as could be expected from guitarist/singer GREG LAHM’s time in MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECHT. Edition of 500 copies packaged in gatefold sleeves.

***The second Toxic Assets release is the debut EP from Austin’s UNMOTHERED, who mine the veins of AmRep/Karp noise-rockin’ of old and overlay it with a tight and eerie blackened sensibility. Call it an EP, it’s seven songs at around 28 minutes. The band includes former members of LIONS OF TSAVO and THE HIDDEN HAND, but are not particularly like either of those bands. They call it “haunt rock” and that it is! Edition of 500 copies.
