Dog On A Chain
Slovenly

***Auckland, NZ outta control garage savages THE CAVEMEN have finally given Slovenly a kick in the nuts with a new 7-inch EP, and mama, we be doubled over in agony from this most supreme beat down! The title track is brutal shit—the sickest they’ve knocked out since their debut “Juvenile Delinquent” single from 2014. When PAUL CAVEMAN snarls “PLAY SOME GOD DAMN ROCK’N’ROLL” on the opener “Death Row” you do what he say! More semen-soaked shockwaves on the flipside with “Dog on a Chain” and “Killing Myself to Live” are as primal and damaged as your better judgement. If this was released during the '90s garage-punk explosion half those bands woulda called it quits on first spin. Give up, give in, dive in and DIE! (STREET DATE - 6/02/2017)

***After years of clenching our fists and throwing tantrums like they were hand grenades, GREG LOWERY of THE RIP OFFS, SUPERCHARGER, and some other jerky combos finally granted us our wish and slapped us silly with this LP from his latest no-count crew CONTROL FREAKS. Be careful what you wish for, indeed! This is snot-caked Bay Area slime by abusive maniacs with the teen-beat on lockdown, and they will C.O.N.T.R.O.L. your last remaining brain cells! Mindless Entertainment got all the obnoxious pop you can handle: “Hollywood” is classic G-Lo retardation, and guitarist NATALIE SWEET is making us itch sharing vocal doodies all over the album in her best Edith Bunker impression. ***From the still smoldering cinders of NYC gunk-punk fuck-ups Livids, MORAL PANIC stomps brazenly on the scene and bears the torch on their debut self-titled LP. You heard that right Mack! Ex-LIVIDS geetard mangler DANIEL KELLEY and drumkit crusher GREGORY COLLINS' latest gang is in annihilating New Bomb Turks / Teengenerate attack mode, with a heady nod to Canadian power-pop obscuros The Nils on their most blistering cover of “Fountains.” Middle fingers are planted fast and firmly in the faces of back stabbers on “Harbor Fitness,” while paeans to tripodial felines bring a welcome smirk on “Ghost Leg.” Twenty minutes of breakneck punk fracas that you’ll be flipping over before you have a chance to load a bowl... ***It has come to our attention that a 'newsworthy' 'artist' from The States recently declared that our unfortunate new political climate would 'make punk rock great again.' We’re not sure what the fuck she’s talking about. Anyone with half a clue knows that there’s been no shortage of unruly crud ever since ever. Our heroine now conveniently finds herself in Australia on a five year work visa where she’s sure to ignore one of the most revered hotbeds of freaked out scorch on Earth, and has another excuse to feign ignorance of her home turf’s scene. Aussie bands have been destroying speakers and eardrums since before Birdmen flew, and it ain’t no different now. Just ask Ausmuteants, Cuntz, Pronto, Bits of Shit… Enter Melbourne’s BRAD POT who, like most of history’s best rockin’ outfits, don’t rely on politics to rip, but get straight to the fucking POINT of radical rock’n’roll: Horned up aggression gone cannibalistic abounds on 'Dipped In Batter,' (Ask Hasil if that’s rock’n’roll) and they got the pissed off woe-you-know about dickhead jocks on 'Black Eye.' We’ll admit Brad Pot is waiting for the war on album opener 'Air Strike,' but when haven’t you been worried that the world’s gonna get set on fire? So dismiss at your own peril, just don’t say stupid shit 'on the record.' CD housed in six-panel digipaks, LP includes an insert. (STREET DATE - 3/03/2017)

***"One of Spain's greatest rock and roll bands, Ilegales, once said, 'We are everything you say we are, and even worse.' BIZNAGA might share this motto if it weren’t for the fact that they don’t give a shit about rock and roll. They wanted me to dedicate few words to their 'Sense of Spectacle,' so maybe you’re expecting to read a long list of over-the-top metaphors and grandiose yet undeserved adjectives to describe their songs. That’s not gonna happen. I’m not going to do anything even remotely similar—they wouldn’t want that. I’m not going to say that this is an album created through balls and ingenuity, an arrogant and tender artifact, full of urgent melodies, hymns about daily struggles and the same nervous verbosity as many UK-based bands from past decades (The Clash, Buzzcocks, Mekons, Zounds, Stiff Little Fingers, Television Personalities), or that they know how to squander with taste and impertinence the inheritance of some local heroes (Parálisis Permanente, Eskorbuto, Ilegales) or that even when they succumb to that fabled fatigue and their flamenco style comes out, they make it work. I won’t say that you should pay attention to the lyrics of these songs that are full of streets and nights, because, as in all the songs they’ve written up to this point, they sing about the classic problem of fear, disgust, boredom, and the lack of communication in current times, and they talk about these issues in a way nobody else is doing. I won’t say any...

Living In The Partyzone by Puff

Living In The Partyzone
Slovenly

***From the sadly sanitized bowels of Berlin, PUFF comes correct to the Slovenly / Mondo Mongo roster once again with the madcap Living In The Partyzone LP. These mysterious dumpster dwellers deliver 10 tracks of electro-analog chaos, heavy on the attack and decayed beyond recognition. Housed in despicable cover art that we fully endorse, Puff's beatification of German forefathers The Monks with a heavy nod to Devo creeps into your psyche with helium-headed punk goop. Puff has been known to cause erectile dysfunction and red eye with half broken organs and barely repaired synths, pairing with misappropriated guitars to create an animated racket that is intended to destroy the party (people). Absurdist lyrics pilfered from the journal of taxi driver turned comedian Travis Bickle weave around John Carpenter samples and itchy melodies to construct music that’s grown like mold from an over fermented pair of minds, transforming “garage music" into music from a dilapidated garage containing a broken dishwasher and a forgotten collection of Joe Meek records. Buzzing synth spars with surf guitar twang on "Psychological Survival," one of only a handful of tracks sung in English, with the rest mouthed in the mother tongue. Animatronic frivolity reigns supreme here, with sounds fit for a post-apocalyptic arcade game, and lyrical outrageousness that never wavers regardless of their chosen language. Featrues members of STEREO TOTAL.

***BACK IN STOCK!!! A previously unissued 1966 teen garage punk acetate from Columbus, Ohio's THE WEAD. You’d figure that with the recent release of two new volumes of Crypt Records’ Back From The Grave series, and a vast stack of Last of the Garage Punk Unknowns comps finally getting their due, that the well of unheard '60s garage band recordings finally got sucked clean dry. Enter Tom Shannon of the mighty Cheater Slicks who dialed us up last year with a story of a customer he met while on the clock at Columbus, Ohio’s famed Used Kids Records, where he holds down hours and takes all the good stuff. Said customer delivered a perfectly preserved time capsule 7” acetate from his Cleveland juvenile delinquent combo The Wead: drummer MIKE O'CALLAGHAN allowed Mr. Shannon home recording privileges on proper gear where the resulting files were handed over to Black Gladiator / Slovenly Recordings for release. Much to garage kingpin TIM WARREN's chagrin, we sent him the tracks to apply his Crypt-style audio tweaking and manhandling, and we now present the first ever issue of this lost 1966 teen punk masterpiece. “By The Whey” is a rabid punker wrought with menacing mod riffage, a twisted break and lead vox that shows the singer sounding like puberty was still miles away. The flip “And I And She” is of equal unhinged quality—a storming raver that would have easily fit on the Teen Jangler Blowout! volume of Teenage Shutdown, and it's as unique as...

***It’s Autumn, 2015 A.D., and in Greece there is insufficient cause for celebration. The country is in economic ruin, and the natives are restless. The Volos tribe known as BAZOOKA is miffed to say the least, yet they say the most. They deliver the verbiage in their mother tongue, poisonous and pissed, for the duration of their scathing second LP Useless Generation. These eleven tracks of turbulent, psychedelic punk brilliantly commandeer the unique sense of youthful contempt of what surely must be the current global vortex of corruption and frustration, yet Bazooka sallies forth with dutiful abandon. The sessions that produced Useless Generation have yielded a sonic result that would humble the mighty Zeus. Unnerving banshee howls drench the soundscape, surreal, and at times, miraculously humorous. Often stiff, militant and urgent, this newest effort makes no qualms with slathering a syrupy dose of synthesizers bending around the crest of the lunar rising, utilizing reverb soaked woodwinds that spiral down from a 5th flight, and employing totemic canter handed down through the millennia while remaining constantly searing. ***It is with great gusto that Slovenly Recordings thrusts the second LP from San Francisco’s SCRAPER squarely into the jaws of the desperate. Produced by CHRIS WOODHOUSE (Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Blind Shake) at The Dock in Sacramento, Misery is an exercise in simplistic, tightly controlled negativity that crushes the fine line between panic and frenzy into oblivion. A rapid attack of artillery-mimicking snare and bass heavy hunch is the canon, wrought in a Bay Area sewer and reveling in a verminous infestation of post-punk pulse: think Wire versus The Spits in a Shaolin death trap. Necessary indictments of dot-com Silicon scum manifest in “Rodent” while “Clones” and “Reaction” drive the point with unparalleled frustration and an uncanny ability to deliver remarkable rock’n’rattle. Scraper administers a deliberate slug to the gut, never fucking around with pretty boy gimmicks and pretense, and Misery is the rabid battle cry. LP includes a lyrics insert. Following the unrestrained pummel of 2014’s Desperate Living 7inch, and the strange cohesiveness of their Singles: 2011-2014 collection, we present you with this stark and weird new Temporary Mutilation five track 10-inch EP. Featuring the instrumental prowess of drummer MILES LUTTRELL from future Slovenly legends SCRAPER, BRENDAN HAGARTY on bass, and recorded by KELLEY STOLTZ and mastered by MIKEY YOUNG, this release especially exemplifies singer / guitarist / leader SETH SUTTON's growth as a sonic craftsman—less concerned with “punk” as a sound while inevitably remaining PUNK, devoting himself to the development of unique noise. The title track’s skeletal arrangement and oddball meter has been embellished with haunting vibrations via phones of the saxo and xylo variety, electronic rhythmic units have been employed in “Poison Dart”, and the entirety of the EP bleeds with Sutton’s trademark horrific sci-fi imagery and aggressive riffs and delivery. VINCE joined on lead vocals. STEVE joined on guitar. Went through a series of bass players before ending up with BREW. Four out of five of the Wheels were cab drivers (hence the name). Van Buren Street for years was known as Phoenix’s center for drugs, prostitution, cheap motels and illegal street activity in general. Four out of five of the Wheels were heroin addicts at various time. Heroin broke up the band. Vince died in 2009, apparently after tripping over a show or something and hitting his head. They were high-energy and played most frequently at Tempe AZ’s legendary Long Wong club. There were no other bands playing this kind of music in the Phoenix area at the time, but several popped up during and after the Wheels. “C’mon and Be Mine,” “Hang Out With Me,” “(She Got) Green Eyes” & “Wicked Lies” were recorded to cassette 4-track by a toothless speedfreak named MARK who used to run sound for the early Alice Cooper outfits (The Spyders / Earwigs). “Moody Judy” & “Soon I’ll Be...

***Slovenly has ganged up with Black Gladiator to “KBD the 1990s” with a tore-up double LP called We're Loud: 90s Cassette Punk Unknowns. JAIME PAUL LAMB was at the helm of the whole thing, forming bands and recording them and others’ on his Yamaha MT50, and acquiring similar tapes from other punk vermin in between American halfway house pit stops.   Some of the most completely tasteless and juvenile swill we’ve ever heard lurks in these grooves, many of them standing out as legit great lost classics: THE FUCKING PIGS paean to crotch-rot “Herpes Attack” is here, as is their proud proclamation “(I’m a) Date Rapist.” Hell, two songs on the first LP alone have “C U Next Tuesday” in the title thanks to MEGA & THE NYRDZ and THE BARF BAGS. ***Slovenly Recordings is hyped as hell to announce our inevitable teaming with Minneapolis, MN bald headed freaks THE BLIND SHAKE. This intense trio led by The BROTHERS BLAHA (JIM and MIKE, plus drummer / brother from another DAVE ROPER) has been plowing through massive waves of reverberation since 2003, releasing a heap of deep records along the way, including a few collaborations with legendary space-punk Michael Yonkers. Taking a more melodic approach than on previous releases, this nine-cut Fly Right EP is another sonic hurdle for the band, steadily alternating between bold, phaser heavy garage-punk wail (“Tar Paper,” “Holy Road”), trippy spaghetti-western tinged surf (“A Clock, A Window, A Pyramid,” “Diamond Days”) and viscerally dramatic scare tactics (title track “Fly Right”). ***Representing the primitivism of Athens, Greece, steadily fornicating with the modern humps of the most ancient civilizations hitherto, ACID BABY JESUS has finally assembled a collection of recordings from their past two years on the rotation. The experiments on Selected Recordings were formulated while spending many of those moments on a secluded island in the Mediterranean sea, populated by a(n) (r)evolutionary cast of travelers, all starving for an heady atmosphere and a delicious salad. Many records were played on record players at these assemblages. And many songs were written, and fine tuned, and recorded. Chrissy "Zebby" Tembo, Zambia’s filthiest lord of feedback & fuzz and king of their Zamrock movement, is the lone artist who made it to cover status with his song “Trouble Maker,” summing up what ABJ has been reaching for. It's never been timelier. Or has it? Every other track is an original - rubbery, and stretching out further than on previous releases. Such is the result from not setting out to record an album while you’re hanging out in Heaven. Guitar lines may or may not be backwards. Conventional in their basic rock’n’roll foundation, these tracks are steeped in layers of organ, Jew's harp, bongos, gongs and a nice assortment of other instruments of the onomatopoeic persuasion. ***“Now more than ever, with radio stations being inundated with too-earnest faux buskers, it seems that a lot of bands could really benefit from spending some quality time with Big Black's Songs About Fucking. Judging by this record by STALINS OF SOUND, who wrap their noise punk in pseudo-Communist propaganda, the band's done its homework. Tank Tracks finds the trio using a few tricks in the Albini playbook, namely loading a hefty wall of fuzz against a drum-machine backdrop, and the Stalins’ abrasive machinepunk contains its share of hooks, and even some downright pretty melodies. This is all relative, of course, but after the militant march of ‘Blood Sex,’ the group carries the song out on an oddly serene and dreamy coda. The tremolo-picked riffs of ‘El Cajon Beatdown’ are just this side of a Norwegian black-metal demo, and ‘Monkeys Attack’ might be the best song that Devo never wrote. It's not that hard to make a chaotic noise-punk record sound good, but Stalins Of Sound have a knack for songwriting that puts theirs on another level.” —Jeff Terich (STREET DATE - 5/20/2014)

***Slovenly Recordings is proud to present the debut full-length LP from Italian freakbeat swamis SULTAN BATHERY! A swirling, exotic blend of smoky, reverb soaked psychedelic garage-pop handcrafted in a fur-lined diamond mine, this self-titled album explosively expounds upon the complex yet catchy dynamics of their 2012 Fireworx EP. Euphoric waves of stomping subterranean rock’n’roll throb through your being on “Satellite,” and stinging fuzz lines cut through the pulsating fringe of your bubbly fudge mynd on “Flowers of Evil” and “Dead Leaves.” This is the raging, hyper-electric trip previously only available in ten strips and micro-dots, finally and fully realized on a hallucinatory bud of dark wax.

***When the legendary KING LOUIE BANKSTON and his MISSING MONUMENTS stopped by the Slovenly USA office on a recent tour, they said they wanted to do a single for us. We replied with, “Sure! Just make sure it’s fuckin filthy.” And here ya have it, the Blast! EP, released to coincide with their new self-titled LP on Dirtnap Records. This exclusive three track monstrosity gives us the filth we were promised in the title track, and a corrosive jangle with complicated poetics on “Ghost HWY.” Doing what they do best, Missing Monuments lay down some serious power-pop skills on the B-side with “Covered In Ice”—a dirty, southern barroom swinger with all the infectiousness of the sweet, germy influences worn on their leather sleeves.

***Power-pop? SCUM-POP! Get ready for a proper ass whoopin’ courtesy of Huntsville, AL’s NIGHTMARE BOYZZZ! These four crusty Buzzcocks / (early) Queers worshipping punks have assembled 11 killer tracks self-destructive swill for what will surely be heralded as the most classic record of it’s kind since the legendary Guitar Romatic LP from the gone, but not forgotten, Exploding Hearts. This Bad Patterns LP / CD features incredible axe shreddage and thunderous kit-pound throughout. From the opening anthem “Problem Child,” to every other god damn self-loathing track on this burner, Nightmare Boyzzz convulse with supersonic beer drenched grime and more hooks than a barbed wire love affair. And if that ain’t enough for ya, every inch of this creepy release has been covered in outrageous weirdo art by SEAN AABERG of the incredible Pork Magazine.

***The third album from Spain’s most savage crew of ‘66 garage-punk worshipping scum of the Earth, WAU Y LOS ARRRGHS!!! This brand new long-playing monstrosity sees singer JUANITO WAU, the barely human Rat Fink comic, continuing his long-held reign as the most bugged out screamer on the scene. Meanwhile, and we do mean MEAN, the remaining Arrrghs mutilate the massive, crunched-out  riffs of ‘60s punk’s past (Cuby and the Blizzards and Jacques Dutronc, anyone?) and reconstructs them with spit, snarl and endless piles of fuzz and swirling Vox organ. Impolite, swinging brutality from the grave for the sweatiest go-go gorilla party ever! (STREET DATE - 10/15/2013)

Kings Of Basement Rock
Slovenly

***BACK IN STOCK!!! Slovenly Recordings is psyched as all get-out to present a re-release of one of our favorite albums EVER: Kings of Basement Rock by the # 1 band in town, Syracuse NY’s legendary THE PENETRATORS! Out of print for years, this essential lo-fi garage-punk master-piece-o’-crud has been remastered from a copy of the original 1986 Fred Records release for supreme filth. The twelve songs in this set were recorded between 1976 and ‘84, making The Penetrators one of the very few original punk bands to spew forth a bitchin ‘60s punk sound, right along with contemporaries Ramones and DMZ. Totally classic lease-breaking tracks abound here, from the ridiculously howling “Teenage Lifestyle,” to The Penetrator’s theme song “#1 Band In Town,” and the all-time dancefloor stomping, burger munching “Shopping Bag” Consider yourselves lucky we're forcing this platter out on the world one mo' time... DO NOT MISS!

***NOW AVAILABLE ON VINYL!!! It is with the filthiest of pleasures that Slovenly Recordings discharges the much anticipated full length, self-titled LP from Greece’s BAZOOKA. A severely crusty unit originally from Volos, and now relocated to Athens, Bazooka, who is perhaps the most savage crew of the incredibly corrosive rock’n’roll scene that includes Acid Baby Jesus and Gay Anniversary, has concocted an evil, grungy stomper of an album that we can deem worthy of the grossly overused title of “epic.” With just enough pop sensibility to keep it from being heavier than a death in the family, this surly, riff-heavy opus has been formulated for maximum distorto-crumble factor from a twin-guitar / double-drum onslaught with searing vocals, as righteously delivered on their now classic “I Want To Fuck All The Girls In My School” single, but let it be known that the humor is null this time around. Being the hexed victims of a massive Greek financial crisis there is no room for it.

***Let’s go back. How far back? Back to 2005, in Thessaloniki, Greece. A crew of degenerates called KOMODINA 3 records an album, makes 80 compact disc copies, hand-delivers them to some local kooks and then decide to not drive to their only show because it’s too cold out (They never played live once. No joke). Fast forward to 2012. Slovenly Greek godz Bazooka and Gay Anniversary are touring Europe with Slovenly owner Pete Menchetti in tow, play him a pirated copy of said disc in the van, and that is IT! It is now with dubious enthusiasm that we present this mysterious Greek freek punk rock beater officially, and on wax for the first time ever. What we have here is the disastrous, teeth-grinding missing link between The Penetrators Kings of Basement Rock LP, The Rip Offs uber-classic Got A Record, and whatever other garage punk shit you’re listening to now, like if Wau Y Los Arrrghs were covering the Killed By Death catalog instead of Back From The Grave. Komodina 3 is a budget-rock anomaly recorded in radically separated stereophonic sound. Ridiculous dumpster drums augmented by a childish assortment of cheap shaking devices, cheesy Farfisa Compact organ just the way we like it, guitars that’ll have you reaching for your itch-powder, and juvenile A.D.D. vocals (sung entirely in Greek!) that numb your cerebellum like the earliest Spits recordings.

***It's the newest latest from BIM THOMAS’ one man soul-punk bomb OBNOX, and Black Gladiator is psyched like a mug to be part of this expanding, dark dope cloud. This “Canabible Ohio” double 7” joint features five new tracks of dank punk stank with a level of pure b-boyism unfelt since the golden era of the Def Jam days. Dig “Deep In The Dusk (Redux)”* for the Jeep beat, replete with a broke ass Magnetix sample. Three of the four cover songs in this set represent the sordid history of Ohio rock and soul: Gaunt’s twisted “Flying,” King James Version’s “He’s Forever,” a tore up, one-in-a-million ‘60s shouter which no one even knew about until the recent release of Numero Group’s Boddie Recordings box—a song which no other need attempt after this, and the all time McCoy’s classic “Hang On Sloopy” gets the ‘NOX treatment proper. A cover of the Urinals’ “I’m A Bug” rounds the set out, cuz we’re stupid like that. Records are housed in a full-color gatefold jacket in a limited edition of 500 copies.

***Slovenly Recordings has pulled three previously unreleased tracks sourced from the same sessions that brought you the ace PAINT FUMES’ Uck Life LP, and pressed ‘em up for you nice and loud on this new EP. The utter roar of “Killed By Puerto Rico” and the ominous “Ghost Highway” give you a crusty glimpse into the dynamic of one of the gnarliest rock’n’roll combos on the scene today. ***“If San Juan punks LAS ARDILLAS remind you a little of those other San Juan punks Davila 666 it might be because the bands share a drummer, ‘The Latin Snake,’ and GIANCARLO who handles the snotty lead vocals for Ardillas. But Ardillas actually predate Davila by quite a few years and, more importantly, they are pretty different bands. Live, this seasoned quintet is unrestrained and unrepentant. They play like no one’s watching and rock like it isn’t going to hurt tomorrow. On wax, however, their solid-state songwriting is revealed in all its naked glory. There’s a powerful undertow of nostalgia to their late ’70s punk, proto-punk and power pop inspired tunes. The lyrics soaked in classically unquiet desperation combined with full-throated vocal harmonies and darkly hooky choruses tap into everything that’s been making teenagers around the world fall in love with punk since, well, no one quite agrees on that, which is for the best. Though they’ve been around for more than a decade, their 2011 LP was their first recorded statement. That’s about to change, though, with this new single ‘Linda Niña’ and their second full-length “Canciones de Amor, Locura y Muerte" happening later this year.”—MTV Iggy

***Just in time for THE SPITS’ March tour, Slovenly unleashes a brand new issue of their total classic first and second albums on what is perhaps the ultimate format for this kinda trippy budget skate punk: the always cool and highly portable cassette tape! It’s true, dude. The first side contains their debut album featuring such legendary hits as “Sk8,” “Black Kar,” and “Remote Kontrol,” while side two is their arguably radder second album with the all time anthems “Spit Me Out,” “Let Us Play Your Party,” Rat Face,” Take Back The Alley,” and alla that shit. You can now rock The Spits I & II in your ghetto blaster on the bus, much to your friendly drivers’ and mongoloid passengers’ chagrin, blast it at your fave ditch, or record something better over it and draw on the j-card.

***“Uck Life? Where the uck does something like this even come from? I can probably clue you in a bit if I mention some gospel truth like Chess Records’ grimiest sides. Balls out honk made by some hard hittin‚ dudes with rib stickin‚ names. Or hows about the driving twang and loco-motion of Memphis‚ Sun sound? Show biz. Perfect rock’n’roll. Get screwed! But the music that actually lives up to the name has always been there if you looked hard enough. Even if it meant a trip to the sewer. This moment in space, time and drain pipes has brought us to North Carolina, birth place of Charlotte’s PAINT FUMES, and this is the sound of three now-minded and irreplaceable disciples of the earthquake shake! Drummer JOSH JOHNSON aka PINCHE GRINGO (also done hard time with King Khan’s TANDOORI KNIGHTS) knows every beat in the book, and they are here in spades! Straight out the congo, filtered through American grime and always in the pocket, y’all. Lead guitarist BRETT WHITTLESEY has arrived to demonstrate that one can rock out the real motherfuckin‚ blues, not have anything in common with Stevie Ray Vaughmit or his muse Hack White, and squeeze every last drop of funky assed Satanism out of it.

Happy Charlie Ep by Thee Oops

Happy Charlie Ep

***From Italy’s nether-region of Sardinia, schizoid punks THEE OOPS are back with a hardcore holocaust called the Happy Charlie EP. Spread over two 7-inch platters (or one shiny CD, natch) like a fine casu marzu, Thee Oops bring 10 searing tracks of maggot infested punk rock ruckus like no one since hardcore’s salad days. The nine originals here twist and shred like a blast of shrapnel to the puss, with violence and anarchy reigning supreme, but this crew ain’t above letting the humor seep through, and they belt out a breakneck version of the Beastie Boys‚ 1982 classic “Egg Raid On Mojo,” making this one of the first Beastie’s covers since the untimely death of Adam MCA Yauch. Look for Thee Oops in the orient as they bring their nuclear assault to China, S. Korea and Japan in November 2012!
