***Tribulations, the essential second long-play album on Nudie Records from New York’s radical bard and versifier Adam Amram weaves nylon guitar, fuzz and wah-wah pedal steel, piano, bass, drums, with luscious three-part harmonies and a lonesome lead vocal. From a Broadway loft beside the J train to the side alleys of Manhattan, Amram’s soulful country beat poetry chronicles the endeavor of reaching for love and connection in times of great tribulation. A record shaped by tension, release, and the turn of a cycle where garage rock spirit meets 70s soul, this is essential cosmic folk storytelling creating modern American mythology.About Adam AmramAdam Amram, son of renowned composer David Amram, blends folk, jazz, classical, and world influences in his Americana songwriting. A longtime Bushwick, Brooklyn resident, he helped shape the local music scene. His debut album, To the End , came out in June 2025 on Nudie Records. Amram’s signature cosmic folk sound blends clear-eyed storytelling with a deep knowledge and history of American music and showcases a unique style and heartfelt sensibility.

***Operating in Akita city, located in the far north of Japan’s big island, playing political hardcore punk influenced by bands like Discharge, Crucifix and Crass through a uniquely Japanese filter. Their sole appearance on record was a single track on Gauze’s Shodoku Gig LP from 1987, but the band had already gone into the studio 3 times from 1985-1986 and tracked close to 20 incredible songs for fans of metallic 80s style Japanese hardcore punk like G.I.S.M., Zouo, and Gastunk, inflected with occasion clean vocal parts, and shredding guitar leads. Fusillade compiles both of their 1986 recording sessions.CD version contains the tracks from the LP and Reality And Future 7”.

Reality And Future
General Speech

***Never released 1985 sessions by this hardcore punk band operating in Akita city, Japan. Reality And Future is being presented as a limited companion to their full length masterpiece Fusillade, also released by General Speech. These tracks show Exclaim at their most urgent and primitive. Unfortunately the master tape saw some serious degradation in the years, and as this tape was never duplicated, or distributed, an attempt at restoring the master was the only option. As such, the audio here has some degradation issues that weren't fully fixable, but the strength of the tracks is enough to warrant pressing a few of these for fans to hear, rather than let the tracks go unheard forever. Pure 80s metallic hardcore punk like only Japan can produce. For fans of G.I.S.M., Zouo, and Gastunk, etc.

***The MARGAReTS from Chiba City went into the 1990s with a mission to play noisy 77 style punk, and helped build a scene in Chiba City of incredible and underrated bands playing in a similar style of raw '70s punk like their close compatriots in Tokyo, The Registrators, but like Kyushu Punk, Chiba City wasn’t about to forget the fuzz of Disorder, and Chaotic Dischord. The MARGAReTS were undoubtedly torchbearers of this scene. Their Hi-Tech Dinner gigs, aesthetic, penchant for 70s fashion, and signature sound acted as a center point that would influence and build the Chiba Punk scene, eventually birthing bands like The C&C, Screaming Noise, Dust Noise, and dozens more. They gigged regularly, gaining a revered cult status, and recorded several times, but never managed to release a record. Hi-Tech Dinner is the career spanning MARGAReTS album featuring 18 of their best works which have been specifically remastered for vinyl to function as the album they were never able to release.CD version was separately mastered for digital - compiling all 4 of their rare recording sessions. 35 tracks and almost 80 minutes of music. Only a few lower fidelity compilation tracks are missing from this release. Pure Fuzzy Chiba City Punk!!

Don't Come To My House Sharing Your Location by Michael Christmas, Chris Crack & Girl Talk

Michael Christmas, Chris Crack & Girl Talk

Don't Come To My House Sharing Your Location
Illegal Art

***On Don't Come To My House Sharing Your Location, Girl Talk links up with underground rap eccentrics Michael Christmas and Chris Crack. The project was largely recorded in Gillis’ hometown of Pittsburgh, where all three artists worked together in person, with additional sessions taking place in Boston and Chicago, the respective cities of Michael Christmas and Chris Crack. The trio have a natural chemistry throughout the EP, balancing humor with earnestness and braggadocio with self-awareness. Girl Talk took the loose and experimental appeal of Michael Christmas and Chris Crack's underground hip-hop and transformed it with colorful, detailed production and a sharp sense of songcraft. It's like a mutated version of a big-budget rap album, complete with ear-catching hooks; its crossover instincts are constantly warped by offbeat sensibilities. The result is a genuinely fun album built on irreverent wordplay, memorable refrains, inspired sample flips, and nonstop shit talking. Vinyl-only instrumentals of all six tracks are on the B side.

***Reissue of the 1987 debut full length from Special Forces, Berkeley hardcore's elite banner waving battalion. Originally released on the New Wave label from France in 1987, any stateside punk gourmand would be forgiven for not knowing about this underrated ripper's existence. The mid-80's were a wild period in USHC, with crossover, emo every other mutated subgenre rearing its ugly head; but good luck telling that to Special Forces, who only stripped their sound down more, delivering a front to back lean and mean, meat and potatoes assault on their debut album. Retaining the razorwire guitar sound of their debut EP, this album plays like a fragment from an alternate universe where Big Boys and Dead Kennedys ditched any of the artsy elements of their sound, and just went all in on speed. Fleshed out with a ton of droolworthy flyers and unreleased pics, any fan of "generic thrash" (to borrow a phrase) centered USHC needs this reissue.

***After a 14-year hiatus, prismatic noise-punk fireworkers Parts & Labor, a beloved institution of Brooklyn's '00s underground, re-emerge with a double-drummer lineup and colossal double album. The 79-minute Set of All Sets is an expansive, blown-out gush of apocalypse-pop that imagines utopias and confronts the overwhelming weight of the infinite. Their first album since 2011, Set of All Sets finds the band re-energized, rebooted and expanding their punk-kosmische, matching their skyscraping melodies and squelching electronics with hypnotic rhythms and frenzied tumbles of percussion. Parts & Labor co-founders Dan Friel and BJ Warshaw are joined by the simultaneous battery of drummers Christopher Weingarten and Joe Wong—asynchronous members during their critically acclaimed four-album run on indie rock titans Jagjaguwar. The power trios that made 2007's breakthrough Mapmaker and 2011's swan song Constant Future have merged into a single four-piece, at once a brand new vision, a clamorous continuation and a recapturing of the deafening sound of their "final" two shows in 2012. With eight weaponized limbs from two veteran drummers, Parts & Labor surges forth with rhythms inspired by Tanzanian singeli, ecstatic free improv and the motorik of vintage krautrock. Friel and Warshaw beam with the most majestic and triumphant melodies of their career, windswept cascades of bubblegum Boredoms and Big-Music-gone-hardcore. Pressed on fluorescent pink vinyl and housed on mirrored gatefold jackets.

***Finally, after years of talks over many blue drinks and pints of Guinness, we have the long-awaited split EP between Canadian raw metal punks, ABSOLUT, and Richmond’s DESTRUCT. As the first new Absolut vinyl release in many years, these three songs demonstrate the extreme, over-the-top metal punk à la The Clay or Ghoul that we have all grown to love and expect in their prolific catalog. Similarly, Destruct continues to march forward in the maximum distortion style of their current Noise Room era. Following both the Svaveldioxid split 7” and Life split 12”, this new EP was also shaped in collaboration with the prolific Tokyo recording studio. All sleeve artwork drawn by SUGI. The singular shared message from both bands is simple: Deafen and Disarm. We look forward to a day that marks an end to Western imperialism, interventionism, and hegemony.

Torn Asunder : The Half Girl by Himukalt

Himukalt

Torn Asunder : The Half Girl
Helen Scarsdale Agency

***Power Electronics, for the most part, stays within its lanes of transgressive misanthropy, with a blackened explosiveness of tortured psyches and nightmarish reflections for the darkest facets of the human condition. Since Whitehouse introduced the phrase, concept, and framework to Power Electronics, its authorship has been primarily male. But within the past decade or so, a diverse web of voices - female, feminist, non-binary, queer - has thrust the PE aesthetic beyond that of the tortured male artist. As such, the notion that Power Electronics is synonymous with true crime worship, political ugliness, degraded sexual fantasies, and misogynistic perspectives has been somewhat dispelled (though many still pursue such ignoble agendas). Enter Ester Kärkkäinen. For close to a decade now, she has developed her own voice, tread her own path, and exorcised her own demons in her unique take on Power Electronics, recording as Himukalt. A Power Electronics album based on the collapse of a relationship is probably not as uncommon as one might think. The sexual violence portrayed through Power Electronics may very well have had its origins in the heartbroken, scorned, or otherwise romantically mistreated. Kärkkäinen gives us two very different perspectives on these themes through two rather different sounding records. There is Last Wish from the plague year of 2020, and there is Torn Asunder: The Half Girl, recorded in 2019. Where the 2020 record is a long-form fever dream of the erotic gone horribly wrong and turned morally questionable, Torn Asunder is the more fractured, yet more...

***In his last years of life, poet/painter/songwriter Ed Askew worked again with his producer on 2013’s remarkable For the World album, Jerry David DeCicca, to create an evocative new set of songs, which would become The Final Painting. La Laguna Dei Bei Sogni by Mondoriviera

Mondoriviera

La Laguna Dei Bei Sogni
Not Not Fun

The latest by Rimini riddler Lorenzo Camera aka Mondoriviera refracts his burnt vapor mutant sound design into a melted palette of hypnagogic guitar, funhouse keys, wormhole FX, and narcotic crooning: La Laguna Dei Bei Sogni (“The Lagoon of Beautiful Dreams”). Inspired by an episode of a 70’s Italian cartoon about a fugitive ex-army officer delirious with yellow fever on a paradisal South American island surrounded by stolen money and perplexed indigenous villagers, the songs stir an appropriately manic and hallucinatory mood. Layers of guitars and voice sway and surf in a smog of memory and melody, punched up with curveball rompler samples (metallic percussion, monster growls, UFO sirens), then processed through a cheap Zoom FX pedal to tie it all together. The result is a hazy alien odyssey of fever dream pop, flashback glam, and lo-fi teleportation, rippled by sunset breezes across the Adriatic. Mastered by Jared Carrigan. Design by Britt Brown.

Answering the call of the ancestral fires and forest spirits, Hulder returns with its third full length statement Verbolgen. Over the course of those three albums, Hulder has evolved from the vision of a solitary black metal entity into something more expansive and collaborative, though still guided by the strident vision of its creator and namesake. On Verbolgen long-time session member Necreon steps forward to join Hulder as full-fledged co-conspirator, amplifying the duos sweeping solemnity.Across nine tracks, Verbolgen deepens Hulder’s characteristic balance of scathing black metal and windswept melancholy through increasingly layered arrangements and ritualistic atmosphere. Whether with the brutal immediacy of “View from Nemeton” or the ceremonial mid-paced summoning of “In Blood and In Earth,” Hulder’s signature sound is more immense and malevolent than ever. Joined on session drums by both Vapula (the band’s live drummer) and Vrolok of the legendary Aeternus as well as live second guitar player Keld (Majesties, Obsequiae), who here contributes additional leads, keys and hurdy gurdy, the Hulder universe widens its collaborative disposition to a new creative level. As with the previous album Verses In Oath the mix has been handled by Ahti Kortelainen at Tico Tico Studio in Finland, giving the album an earthy resonance befitting its obsessions with blood, landscape and spiritual inheritance. Verbolgen also features cover art created by Morrigan of Aeternus, her first cover work since contributing art for the earliest Aeternus LPs nearly thirty years ago. The result is a towering and immersive work that cements Verbolgen as the most...

Somebody's Gotta Do It by Team Work

Team Work

Somebody's Gotta Do It
Feel It

"We've almost forgotten what it feels like, the internet internetting in old-timey ways. Ways where people from far away places meet over a shared interest, and truly meet. Team Work formed this way. They found each other via the soundcloud accounts of their bands, Lise of Maraudeur texting from Leipzig and Ronni of Marances from Baton Rouge. And while it sounds cliché, somebody's gotta do it really does feel like they have been playing together all their lives. There are muscular bass lines, crunchy, wood block injected drum patterns, softly delivered vocals, often dubbily processed, scroungy guitars and the juiciest tape loops you’ve ever heard. The span of dynamics on this record is huge: i burnt my tongue with f-icience this morning is a dance punk banger, bringing hues of ESG and the extremely likeable concept of not spelling out the forbidden f-iciency word. would we have a would-workshop feels like a 90ies acoustic guitar r’n’b classic, but thrifted, with sampled clock sounds as genius percussion replacement. Drones with beautifully sampled horns, unison vocal lines and a slo-mo motor beat as on the piper has a flashlight and organically complex riffs on three lung group chat, surprisingly empty cart and (bring more this time). And in between, field recordings turned tracks. On horse eating an apple, Team Work sings 'if you think of making it perfect you will only lose your words'. This debut feels like the living proof of tricking your brain into letting the magic happen. Humble and badass at...

Raised Batons and Clenched Fists - 100% Paws In The Air Punk Rock Demo 1986 by Armistice

Armistice

Raised Batons and Clenched Fists - 100% Paws In The Air Punk Rock Demo 1986
PNV

***100% Paws In The Air Punk Rock is the 1996 demo from Long Beach, CA political insurgents Armistice, given the loving vinyl treatment at last. California punk has such a broad, diverse history, with one of the oddest, but most distinct niches being the state's penchant for vicious political hardcore. Crucifix and Final Conflict specifically created a legacy that freed golden state punks from the shackles of skate parks, beaches and suburban cliche, and embraced the bleak, unwavering apocalyptic perspective of UK anarcho hardcore. Debuting their first demo in 1991, Armistice were among the generation who inherited these traditions, blocking out the sunshine with black and white stenciled banners, and for whatever reason, an obsession with Winnie the Pooh imagery. This 1996 session which was split up for various comps and split EPs in its time, showcases the group at the height of their power, finding a middle ground between early 80's anarcho groups like Conflict and Discharge, and the heavier crust of Nausea. The raw recording perfectly compliments the direct message of the lyrics, and the result, 30 years after recording, holds up masterfully. The overall care put into the packaging and vinyl pressing elevates the listening experience, and stands as a reminder of just how great Armistice were.

Live At Phoenix Central Park by Beach, Michael

Beach, Michael

Live At Phoenix Central Park
Twenty Five Diamonds

***On his debut live LP, Live at Phoenix Central Park, Melbourne-based/California-born songwriter and bandleader Michael Beach brings together three of Australia’s most well-known improvisers in a mercurial performance that is both contemplative and expansive, focused and fierce. Playing live together for the first time, the band—Lloyd Swanton (The Necks), Joe Talia (Oren Ambarchi, Ned Collette), and Mick Turner (Dirty Three)—supercharge Beach’s textural songwriting, and tap immediately into a propulsive cosmic pulse.Known as a deliberate and masterful songwriter, adept in both guitar-based post-punk (recalling Peter Laughner, Pere Ubu) and off-kilter piano balladry (Bill Fay, Peter Jefferies), Beach focuses on the latter as a jumping-off point for Live at Phoenix Central Park. “My last couple of records were dotted with more reflective moments, and friends had been encouraging me for a while to put together a whole record of ballads,” says Beach. “With these players, I feel like this collection of songs can be both introspective and outward-looking – miniature in their parts, but ever-expanding when combined.”Live at Phoenix Central Park was recorded in Sydney, Australia, on the final date of a busy 2025, during which Beach made festival appearances and headline tours across Australia, Europe, and America in support of his studio album Big Black Plume (Poison City/Goner Records). In the architecturally and acoustically designed space of Phoenix Central Park, surrounded on all sides by a hushed and reverent audience, the band immediately settles into a meditative mood, with Beach peeling fragments from the grand piano as “Introduction” segues into a...

Cuisine (With Piscatorial) by Severed Heads

Severed Heads

Cuisine (With Piscatorial)
Dark Entries

Severed Heads reattach themselves to Dark Entries for an expanded reissue of their 1991 opus Cuisine (With Piscatorial). As originary Aussie industrial legends—although founder Tom Ellard would balk at being branded as such—Severed Heads shaped the continental subcultural sound with their kitchen electronics, chaotic tape loops, and infectious nursery-rhyme-esque melodies. Cuisine (With Piscatorial) was the long-running project’s ninth album, and is a commentary on the state of music. Ellard explains: “The whole food joke is really about what music's about and how disposable it is; people have records like they have cups of coffee.” The album also presents a turn away from the dancefloor formalism of the era, which Ellard dismissed as already sufficiently explored. Cuisine brings us punchy pop kernels of the prime Heads variety, all clocking in around three minutes. Cuts like “Pilot in Hell” and “Ugly Twenties” rank among the band’s best through their deadly skewering of synth pop tropes. But the album also offers us a Piscatorial section, where Ellard felt free to “go fishing for ideas.” Here we get a taste of the project’s demented cut-up sensibilities, like on the “Quest for Oom Pa Pa” suite, where vintage jazz records are collaged into an angular nightmare. This double-LP reissue is the first time that Cuisine (With Piscatorial) will appear on vinyl, with a previously unreleased early version of “Seven of Oceans.” Also included is a 6-page booklet with liner notes, lyrics, and press clippings.

Beyond Step One by Why Bother?

Why Bother?

Beyond Step One
Feel It

***"As we shift out of the Age of Pisces, chaos reigns. The false profits continue to squeeze water from the stone of life, and humanity continues to look for the light in a growing darkness. It is easy to feel powerless… to give up hope… but do not despair. As Jupiter enters Leo, we are on the verge of a new awakening. And with that, we have a new WHY BOTHER? Offering. Iowa punk druids WHY BOTHER? return from a brief cosmic silence with their most esoteric and ethereal work to date; Beyond Step One.Little is known about this collective of endless hitmakers. They operate in silence and darkness, and not by accident. What we do know is that they continue to issue sprawling musical works that skew from garage punk- to surf rock- to new wave and beyond. Their music is connective, frenetic, and eruptive with covert but powerful subliminal messages bubbling beneath the surface. Unlike many modern bands, WHY BOTHER? choose not to perform live. Instead, they offer Odyssian sonic works like reclusive painters uninterested in the novelty of attention or a cult of personalities. And so we listen closely, and we wait patiently for each new and expansive batch of songs; a singular and cohesive rock n roll vision. With Beyond Step One, WHY BOTHER? conjures eighteen pieces. Eight punk songs, which are par for the course for the group; oddball yet hyper-infectious tunes that utilize grotesque horror film tropes and off-kilter love songs as a trojan-horse for...

***Twin Bloom makes indie rock that balances momentum with atmosphere, drifting between the glow of 80s new wave, the haze of shoegaze and the melodic pull of classic guitar pop. Based in Oakland, the band leans into warmth over sharp edges. Guitars shimmer and blur, melodies stick quickly, and close vocal harmonies give the songs a familiar, lived-in feel.Influences like Teenage Fanclub, Alvvays, The Cure and other beloved indie favorites are present, but never foregrounded, filtered instead through a sensibility shaped by years of playing rooms, basements and clubs. There’s patience in the band’s writing, but also a steady sense of drive. Songs unfold gradually, carried by chiming guitars and propulsive rhythms that keep things moving even as textures bloom and recede. The arrangements stay lean and focused, favoring clarity over excess and letting repetition, tone and melody do the work. The music feels emotionally grounded and immediate, well suited for hazy summer drives and warm, nostalgic nights that stretch on longer than expected.Twin Bloom’s self-titled debut EP, slated for release in summer 2026, captures a moment of transition, caught between looking back and pushing forward. Lead single “Summer’s Gone” distills the band’s approach most clearly, pairing an easy, driving rhythm with a bittersweet sense of seasonal shift.Twin Bloom isn’t chasing trends or big statements. The band is focused on writing songs that stick, sound good turned up in the car and feel just as natural on the tenth listen as the first.

COLOR VINYL EDITION IS TRANSPARENT YELLOW. OSEES LIVE IN LOS ANGELES We had agreed to do a 6 show residency at the Teragram in Los Angeles in 2025. Tried to mix it up for the kiddos so I brought on the big guns…BRIGID DAWSON. And boom goes the dynamite! The missing key component to all of this middle era Garage Punk junk. Culled from the last 3 shows here are the creme de la creme of the tunes. Some long bloated fliers and some short sweet friers. Sumerian Star Creatures by Typhonian Highlife

Typhonian Highlife

Sumerian Star Creatures
Psychic Sounds

***Created for the Centre for Fine Arts Brussels, Sumerian Star Creatures premiered in 2017 as a part of Spencer Clark and Xavier Garcia Bardon's "Imagineers in the Underworld" Film Series. Typhonian Highlife and Corum made a slithery soundtrack to intersperse between the stories of South Africas former National Laureate, Credo Mutwa; who's early work magically catalogs folk histories of the Zulu people, and later, begins to merge into a description of the same peoples histories of Alien Folklore Myth World. The Film shown during the Imagineers in the Underworld" series sees Credo Mutwa surrounded by his sculptures and murals, detailing stories of experiences with the Chitahoori, the alien creatures that inhabit South Africa. After a story, the screen would go blank and Typhonian Highlife's silohuettes would light up as they would perform a musical response to Credo's stories of the "Alien Nasty Boys".The music on the record you peep stands as the evidence of the inspirational world of Credo Mutwa, who without restraint, recounts the history of his people intermixed with the parallel history of the non-human entities that inhabit his land. Sumerian Star Creatures comes with the original marquee poster of the event in question as well as a copy of the original ticket, which, has on it, a barcode that when scanned, takes you to cyber space where you can listen and watch Credo's full six hour story.

Sex, Drugs... and Noise by Beast Of Beast

Beast Of Beast

Sex, Drugs... and Noise
Mono Records

***"After years of attempting to make this a reality, we're proud to offer the reissue of Beast of Beast—"Sex, Drugs… and Noise" from 1983, originally on My Ass/Mutha Records. This LP from the Hollywood Death Rock outfit includes 10 bonus tracks recorded between 1981-1984. Roy and I picked these from 10+ hours of rehearsals and demo tapes—songs that no one’s heard, unless you were at the live gigs back in the day. Inserts include tons of photos by Edward Colver and others, with band bio and a 11x17” album outtake poster of Virginia by Colver."

Return to Castle Death by Zorn

Zorn

Return to Castle Death
Sorry State

***Philadelphia’s Zorn returns with a new album for Sorry State, Return to Castle Death. While the two years since Endless Funeral have seen Zorn’s stage show grow increasingly surreal and elaborate (giant Kaiju-style monsters and oversized medieval weaponry are now regular features of their gigs), Return to Castle Death finds the band whittling things down musically, giving us a meaner, leaner, and more riff-focused Zorn than we’ve heard previously. But while these seven tracks feel more straightforward, the hallmarks of Zorn’s sound are still here in force: the blackened punk riffs, virtuosic drumming, touches of neoclassical melody, and vocals that can can move from a Sakevi-influenced gurgle to a banshee death howl in the space of a line. There are also a few new twists, like the warped organ solo at the climax of album-closer “Guest of the Mad Prince.” And make sure to pick up the physical version, because the vinyl features an exclusive bonus track: a cover of Annihilation Time’s modern classic “Bald Headed Woman” put through Zorn’s metal-punk meat grinder.

Brutal Occupation by Alienator

Alienator

Brutal Occupation
Black Water

***There is absolutely no stopping this hardcore juggernaut, and this 4 song EP is the proof. Continuing right along with the LP, without skipping a beat, these dudes are just as angry and intense. Fast catchy riffs, sick breakdowns, rad solos, gang vocals, and sounds that invoke violence in the pit of one's soul. If prior releases did not make you want to destroy everything in the room, this might just be the one that breaks you. Absolutely no poser shit anywhere in this frantic listen. Recommended to anyone who loves their hardcore pure and genuine.

***If you have an unquenching thirst for down tuned DOOM-laden crust punk littered with dive bombs and blazing solos, stop whatever you’re wasting your time doing and grab this 8 track cassette only release. This shit is so dirty, even the dental floss holding your trousers together will not survive the onslaught. The tape remains urgent as hell; fast d-beats throughout wasting no time with mid tempos or artsy fartsy bullshit. For fans of Discharge, Hiatus, Disgust, Disrupt, War Collapse of Doom.. Crust without the chugging. Just plain, evil hardcore the way it is meant to be.

My God is a Consuming Fire by Olsen, Ethan W.

Olsen, Ethan W.

My God is a Consuming Fire
Carbon

***Ethan W. Olsen (aka Ethan WL) is a American Primitive guitar player, filmmaker, and film photographer from Gloucester, Massachusetts. His works often explore the idea of place and its connection to one's personal history. In both film and music he favors long, contemplative pieces. My God Is a Consuming Fire is Ethan’s 2nd LP for Carbon Records. The first one, Blood Farm, which received many accolades and airplay. But with My God…, Ethan (now going by his full given name) has really increased his proficiency, creativity, and patience.

Pon Tu Lengua Sobre Mis Huesos: Exploraciones Cartománticas by JPI Vio-Lens Kommand

JPI Vio-Lens Kommand

Pon Tu Lengua Sobre Mis Huesos: Exploraciones Cartománticas
Nuclear War Now

***The 2026 full-length album from Uruguay's occult black metal entity JPI Vio-Lens Kommand and the band's second release on NWN! Productions. JPI Vio-Lens Kommand continues its uncompromising path with a feral blend of black metal, d-beat, and punk, driven by surrealist poetry shouted in Spanish. The production is deliberately raw and organic, evoking the sound of a forgotten 1990s four-track demo, while the sparse but effective use of keyboards adds an eerie sense of depth without softening the band's primitive attack. Where the previous album leaned toward death-thrashing chaos, this recording shifts closer to the hypnotic minimalism of Ildjarn and Invunche. Recommended for fans of Asocial (Sweden), Gudon (Japan), Metal Attack (Bolivia), and Plasmid (UK). Presented on heavy black vinyl with a 3mm jacket and insert.

ANTI-GOTH 797

***Forty years in the making, Final Storm serves as the triumphant final chapter in Canadian Speed Metal cult, Witches Hammer's history. Rather than reinventing themselves, the band has remained faithful to the speed and thrash metal sound that has defined their legacy, delivering nine tracks that seamlessly stand alongside their previous two acclaimed albums. The record bridges past and present, combining material from the band's earliest days with newly forged compositions to create a fitting Final Storm. Two songs on the album trace their origins directly to Witches Hammer's legendary demo era: "Mantle of Death" from the band's 1985 debut demo and "Death of No Reprieve" from their 1986 follow-up. Alongside these resurrected classics are two completely new tracks, "Nocturnal Oblivion" and the instrumental "Malicious Assault." The remaining songs are built from a treasure trove of unreleased riffs, rehearsal tapes, and basement recordings created during the band's formative years in the 1980s. Much of the material was painstakingly assembled from decades-old cassettes, with the band collaborating to complete and refine unfinished ideas into fully realized songs.
